I loved everything about the Lazy Cricket. It's comfortable, beautifully designed and furnished, nestled on top of the mountains and in the heart of nature; it's heaven on earth. This place could be a writers' retreat, a cooking workshop, a hangout for friends and family looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Dr. Robert was in touch with me frequently, asking if I needed any help or recommendations or if I have any questions. Such a kind person, I felt as if I am staying at a friend's place.
You'd be doing yourself a big favor just by sitting outside, breathing in the clean air and taking in the beautiful scenery.
I came here with my friend and his fiancé who lives in New York. The two lovebirds had a wonderful time together. You'd think I would get bored, being the third wheel, but on the contrary, I had an amazing time just basking on the balcony and reading on my Kindle. Debra and Robert left us an amazing banana bread baked the night before and a bottle of wine. The banana bread was to die for! The gesture was beautiful, very warm welcoming.
The properly is designed in such a way where the couples took the lower floor, which has its own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen as well as access to the hot tub -- and I took the main floor with the big TV screen and the comfortable sofa.
It's not just a romantic getaway; when my friend's fiancé left to Nashville earlier than planned, we hung out just us two pals. Add to that pizza (10 minutes away from the property) and some Seinfeld episodes on TV, and you've got a much needed two childhood pals timeout.
