Relaxing vacation close to Knoxville and Pigeon Forge

5 of 5
We were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a vacation cabin from the moment we arrived. The pictures accurately represent the cabin, but the cabin is even better than the pictures depict it. The cabin is large, felt very roomy, yet the wood walls throughout the cabin make it feel warm and cozy. The decor is fun too. The beds are large and comfortable. We chose this cabin, in part, because of the wifi Internet, which worked wonderfully. We were also pleased with the numbers of nice televisions (almost had tv service in every bedroom--did have a tv in every room, though two were for VHS and DVD players only). They provided all the towels, soaps, toilet paper, kitchen items for cooking (including a working coffee maker), washer and dryer (with detergent). The complimentary pack of water bottles in the fridge was a nice surprise. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are open, which lends itself to visiting while prepping meals. We used the large grill (which is located in a convenient spot on the deck) several times while we were there. Enjoyed several rain storms while in the rocking chairs on the wrap around deck too. It felt quite secluded--very relaxing. We also used the fire pit to roast marshmallows for s'mores. Our daughter is three and she loved vacationing at the cabin. The living room has ample comfortable seating. The owners are only a phone call away (or an email) and were great to work with. We had our second child in Knoxville (Knoxville is only 20 minutes from the cabin) while we were on this vacation. This cabin was a lovely place to spend the first few days with our newborn. Felt like home! It is easy to get to and from I-40 (and on the way you pass a grocery store and many restaurants--my three year old's favorite was the Russell Stover shop for delicious ice cream). The traffic got heavy over Labor Day weekend, but during the week the traffic to Pigeon Forge was minimal. Overall, we would love to return year after year to this cabin. We had ages spanning from three to sixty-seven and everyone loved this cabin.

What a Get-Away!

5 of 5
You never know what to expect when renting a property, sight unseen. But this was a very pleasant surprise. My wife and I have been renting cabins in and around the Smokey Mountains for the last 34 years and we have encountered just about every issue one could imagine. But never have we stayed at a property that was so well equipped and reflected such attention to detail by the owners. Whether directions to the cabin, community activities, or things to do nearby, everything was provided in a clear format. Never did we voice, "I wonder where..." or "I wonder how.. or "Wish we had .." -It was all covered or readily available at our fingertips. In all, the owner's efforts made this our top choice for a place to return to in the future.
