My wife and I stayed at Spring House for our honeymoon in May 2012 (will only allow 1yr old reviews). They did close off add'l reservations to give us privacy, which was very nice. We had a really good experience on Bequia and the surrounding islands. The ladies were all very sweet and everything at the house was always in great order. The food was very good and Tabitha would pack us a cooler for our excursions so we would have food/drinks while we were out exploring. Food in town was quite expensive so the 'all-inclusive' idea is not a bad idea to consider. We were even presented a chilled bottle of Moet one night at our candle-light dinner to celebrate our recent marriage! :)
Our only complaint were the mosquitoes (which little can be done) but just a warning to those going the same time frame of May. The rooms were nice and had great A/C but are not air tight and the bugs do find their way in and we made the mistake of not using the bug net on the bed the first night and paid for our mistake. We definitely used the net every other night but still found ourselves waking up several times in the middle of the night with a mosquito buzzing us.....very annoying. The common area was nice but the mosquitoes were terrible and when we would try to use the kitchen at night, one of us would have to stand guard with the electric zapper bug racket and try to keep the bugs away long enough to heat our food and make a run for it.
We used a guy named Dwight for our excursions to the other islands(via his ~31ft center console boat). He was nice and prices seemed reasonable for services provided. I certainly recommend the fiery to Canouan for golf/spa. Amazing views on the course! (~$250-$300 for green fee, club rental and lunch). We used Dwight to go to The Cays to snorkel(Awesome!), Mystique(pricey house tour, but nice houses) and half day fishing. The fishing was disappointing but we did catch a tuna for Tabitha to make dinner with and it was great! We did utilized the Jeep and explored the island of Bequia. We found an awesome sea turtle sanctuary down the road from the house so definitely check that out.
My wife is a fan of all inclusives and insisted we do it so we didn't stress since it was a new area and our honeymoon. That said, we did eat out 4-5 times and were out exploring A LOT so not sure if WE realized the full value of the all inclusive. No doubt though, everyone was certainly there to make the experience very enjoyable.
