I enjoyed the property but there are some issues..

4 of 5
We had a fabulous week and I would definitely return to St Martin. I would like to say the home is very nice and it is well cared for but there are some misrepresentations in the pictures and comments from the owner. We NEVER had air conditioning working properly in the living room. Yes, there is plenty of space and other areas to hang out in BUT we paid for usage of the entire house and the living room was hot most of the time. In some of the comments the owner stated that this situation has been resolved = it has not. Someone else mentioned the cushions, they could definitely stand to be upgraded. You have such nice furnishings but the thin plastic cushions (that stick to you) on the outside furniture are really not comfortable or inviting. The biggest issue for us would be the security factor. This home is gated with a key out front but the gate on the side has no secure closure and at one point we looked up and their was a gardner on the property and we knew how he got in....the gate is broken. Now, my nieces stayed in the room by the pool house and honestly I slept peacefully BUT this issue needs to be resolved. There is really no beach right at the property, it's really rocky and no one was out there but it's also a little dark and shady at night. The side gate needs to be repaired so that as a renter you are truly secure in the property you paid for. I would GLADLY return but I would definitely need to know the air conditioning issue had truly been resolved and I need to feel safe when I sleep. If you give me a gate with a lock, make sure the lock works.
