The trip on the Catamaran was amazing! Let me start from the beginning. My husband, daughter and I arrived in St. Martin on Monday afternoon. We took a 5 minute taxi ride ($25 total) to Marigot Ferry Terminal where Jean Claude was waiting for us. He loaded our 3 (small) suitcases into the dingy that took us out to the Catamaran that was sitting in the middle of Marigot Bay along with many other boats - only a 2 minute ride. Franzie was waiting for us with a big smile and a delicious lunch ready to go. We stripped off our winter boots and socks and quickly put on our bathing suits to jump off the back of the boat into the clearest water I have ever seen. We spent the evening walking around the little town of Marigot (so cute!). We were pretty tired from a long day of travel from New Jersey so we went to bed early. There are 3 small cabins with a bathroom attached. Each room has several port holes for ventilation as well as a fan that worked perfectly. The Catamaran gently rocked us to sleep that night. The next morning we headed out to Grand Case and spent a beautiful day on a wonderful beach! Jean Claude and Franzie are experienced boaters who told us all about their adventures around the world. We shared meals with them and really enjoyed their company. Franzie is a fantastic cook and she went overboard with accommodating our every need. We enjoyed Caribe beer and specialty drinks and wine. We brought our own bottle of Vodka that we bought Duty Free and enjoyed it with Cranberry Juice (Jean Claude went to the store to make sure we had enough juice and bought some more for us). The sailing itinerary was completely up to us - but they showed us the most beautiful, secluded places in St Martin and St. Barts. Everything is included and this is an extremely stress-free way to travel. If you are in to large Cruise Ships that look like an apartment buildings on the ocean, then this trip is NOT for you. If you want to feel like the rich and famous and go to secluded, private areas of the islands, then this Catamaran is right up your ally. While sailing from beach to beach, we sat up front with the wind in our hair and sun on our skin. Jean Claude and Franzie are very lucky to have a daughter like Aline - who answered all our questions prior to arriving on the boat. EVEN IF ONLY FOR 1 WEEK, WE TRAVELED LIKE THE RICH AND FAMOUS! Not too bad for an average working family from New Jersey! Thank you Jean Claude and Franzie (and Aline)!
