Paradise Found!! Never ending beauty!!!

5 of 5
From the moment we arrived we knew that we had landed in paradise. The beauty of St. Lucia can be seen from the plane. Clavie, the driver welcomed us with a warm St. Lucian welcome as soon as we exited the airport. He was very gracious and kind and provided great information about the island as he drove us to the villa. We instantly felt welcome and at home. After a 45 minute drive through the various villages and beautiful countryside of the island we pulled on to the property and the grand entrance which consists of a stone wall and beautiful wooden gate we knew that we had arrived in paradise. My first impression was what magic and beauty lies beyond these doors. I soon discovered that it was beyond my expectations, the photos although beautiful dont compare to the majestic beauty experienced in real life. The gardens invite you to enter into another world, one of relaxation and natural beauty of the island. A historic retreat and majestic island fortress of your own. We were greeted by the villa staff upon our arrival. We met Cynthia, the housekeeper and Terry the gardener who welcomed us with big smiles and open arms. Cynthia proceeded to show us around the villa. I recall stepping onto the large deck that spans the length of the living room and seeing the jaw dropping view of the majestic pitons. The villa which is constructed of large stone walls and mahogany doors fit perfectly in the surroundings with its plantation style construction. It offered the beauty and sophistication of a 5 star resort but the feel of the villa was warm and welcoming and felt like a home away from home. The open layout allowed us to open many of the shuttered door panels connecting the indoors and outdoors seamlessly. Our bedroom which was tastefully decorated had its own tiled deck that opened to the Caribbean Sea and the awe inspiring view of the Pitons. The additional bedroom suites each had its own private deck overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens. We were welcomed to our vacation with a welcome basket filled with a variety of fresh local fruits, a bottle of wine and a bottle of St. Lucian rum that I am still trying to find online with no luck. Cynthia had prepared an amazing creole home cooked meal which consisted of curry chicken with rice, salad and soup. The pool offers a tranquil beauty of its own, private and surrounded by a lush variety of tropical plants and flowers, Highly recommended and we cannot wait to go back next year!

Amazing private get-away

5 of 5
The moment you open the front door, you will immediately say "Wow!" as your eyes absorb an incredible view of the Caribbean Ocean and the twin Pitons through the open-air design of the Villa Pitons Retreat. If you're looking for a quiet, private get-away with spectacular views and a unique setting, this is the place. The villa has some great architecture features, including custom designed tile work, a mote flowing from the pool into the villa and the castle-like look of the house -- especially the master sleeping quarters. The back of the villa with the pool, patio, beautiful grounds and one-of-a-kind view, all adds up to what is truly a private retreat overlooking God's incredible creation. Mary, the housekeeper, and Gregory, the pool/groundskeeper, are both friendly and accommodating to your schedule. We also had Mary cook two authentic St. Lucian meals which were excellent. There's several good nearby restaurants, beach, snorkeling and hiking -- so activities are available if you can tear yourself away from the villa.

Heaven Indeed!!!!

5 of 5
Dear Owen, We had the most incredible week at your home in St. Lucia. I am sure you receive note after note from guests raving about your property, so forgive me if you find this redundant ;) The staff is top notch. top. notch. They are all so wonderfully warm and welcoming each day. Very patient and very accommodating. Marilyn did a wonderful job preparing 3 meals a day for our whole group. James was always punctual and quite a character. Our children were all so well received by everyone on the property. It is clear that St. Lucians love and respect children, which I hugely admire. Not all people are so welcoming of them... The house is simply stunning, as I wrote you briefly when we arrived. We never got bored of the view, everything was so clean and comfortable. It's not often that you find a home that is available for rent with such nice amenities...truly a special place. I'm not sure that I can pick a favorite villa, for they each are so unique and special in their own way. The showers in the sunset and bouganvilla were awesome. The views from the sitting areas in the pool and grotto suites were incredible. This is merely scratching the surface, but I hardly need to tell you how awesome every aspect or your home is. All I wish to convey is how impressed we all were with your property. The catamaran was a highlight. Lovely half day. we frequented the beach at Anse Chastenet and went to sugar beach one day, which was a lot of fun, and then took a boat taxi back to town where we met James for the short trip up the mountain back to the house. You were absolutely right to suggest we not rent a car. Driving there is nuts, especially in the town! Thank you again for your guidance in preparation for the trip. I would love to say we will be back, but I'm not one to make empty promises. What i can promise is that if we come back to St. Lucia for a holiday, I will be calling you first! And certainly I will recommend your property to anyone that is looking to have their minds blown with a caribbean getaway! Very Sincerely, Jeff
