Paradise Found!! Never ending beauty!!!

5 of 5
From the moment we arrived we knew that we had landed in paradise. The beauty of St. Lucia can be seen from the plane. Clavie, the driver welcomed us with a warm St. Lucian welcome as soon as we exited the airport. He was very gracious and kind and provided great information about the island as he drove us to the villa. We instantly felt welcome and at home. After a 45 minute drive through the various villages and beautiful countryside of the island we pulled on to the property and the grand entrance which consists of a stone wall and beautiful wooden gate we knew that we had arrived in paradise. My first impression was what magic and beauty lies beyond these doors. I soon discovered that it was beyond my expectations, the photos although beautiful dont compare to the majestic beauty experienced in real life. The gardens invite you to enter into another world, one of relaxation and natural beauty of the island. A historic retreat and majestic island fortress of your own. We were greeted by the villa staff upon our arrival. We met Cynthia, the housekeeper and Terry the gardener who welcomed us with big smiles and open arms. Cynthia proceeded to show us around the villa. I recall stepping onto the large deck that spans the length of the living room and seeing the jaw dropping view of the majestic pitons. The villa which is constructed of large stone walls and mahogany doors fit perfectly in the surroundings with its plantation style construction. It offered the beauty and sophistication of a 5 star resort but the feel of the villa was warm and welcoming and felt like a home away from home. The open layout allowed us to open many of the shuttered door panels connecting the indoors and outdoors seamlessly. Our bedroom which was tastefully decorated had its own tiled deck that opened to the Caribbean Sea and the awe inspiring view of the Pitons. The additional bedroom suites each had its own private deck overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens. We were welcomed to our vacation with a welcome basket filled with a variety of fresh local fruits, a bottle of wine and a bottle of St. Lucian rum that I am still trying to find online with no luck. Cynthia had prepared an amazing creole home cooked meal which consisted of curry chicken with rice, salad and soup. The pool offers a tranquil beauty of its own, private and surrounded by a lush variety of tropical plants and flowers, Highly recommended and we cannot wait to go back next year!

Wonderful stay-we loved it!!

5 of 5
We had a great time with our friends at the villa. The views are unbelievable. From the time we walked into the villa we could not believe the water view. After we finished a few days of sight seeing, we relaxed poolside for a couple of days. Bertha is very efficient and made breakfast for us every morning except the morning we left early to climb the Gros Piton. The interior of the villa is lovely. Kitchen has everything you need, modern, clean very nice. The villa is nicer than what you see in the photos. Bedrooms and bathrooms modern and clean.

Rainforest Paradise

5 of 5
This was our second trip to St Lucia. Our first was at Sandals for our honeymoon. Ever since then, I wanted to go back and explore this beautiful little island. 5 years later (and with a baby in the oven), we decided to go back and stay at Villa Pomme D'Amour for 7 nights. My wife and I travel quite a bit and usually do the all-inclusive thing every year. This time, we wanted to actually experience the island. Our stay with Josee and Pierre was absolutely wonderful and was exactly what we were looking for. After being greeted quite friendly by Pierre at the airport, we were introduced to Josee with a refreshing (and much needed) Rum Punch along with bruschetta. I was absolutely stunned by the view from our balcony (second floor villa). We had the view of St Lucia's luscious mountains, flowers, plants and the Caribbean water. It was breathtaking.... The villa was beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. It had 2 bedrooms (each with balconies), kitchen, safe, tv, and a large balcony, where we stayed most of the time. We usually made breakfast every morning and Josee provided some eggs and fruit to get you started. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away by car. There is a delightful little cove a few minutes away (walking) with some great snorkelling. The pool was also great - it was always warm and romantic especially during the night. This place is right in the rainforest of St Lucia and was quite the experience. Birds come flying on the balcony during the morning looking for feed and the surrounding mountains are so so lush. But when the night hits, the forest becomes alive. You hear all sorts of birds and wildlife - yes it was loud during the night, but it's part of the experience that you just don't get from the big all-inclusives. In my opinion, what makes a great experience from a good one, is the people you meet. Josee and Pierre were absolutely great and genuinely good people who will do anything to make your stay amazing. Josee helped us with our daily itinerary and offered us tips and recommendations regarding some great local restaurants. My wife and I consider Josee and Pierre our new Caribbean friends and I would go back again. FYI, I would rent a car as Marigot Bay is situated in the middle of the island but the roads twist and turn due to the mountains. Driving around is not for the faint of heart but offers some great views. Thank you Josee and Pierre for the wonderful experience! Nick & Barbara
