Fantastic!

5 of 5
We had a perfect stay at the Treehouse! A nice and well-kept apartment with stunning view on the Caribbean sea. It has a very well equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom with everything you need. Our hosts Sarah and Pablo were most friendly and very helpful with everything we needed, eg. beach chairs, snorkeling gear or tips for dining, shopping and information where to go. They are familiar with all local shops, restaurants, doctors etc. At our arrival, a welcome basket with fruits, wine and the most important food for the first day was prepared. Most mentionable is the delicious german bread homemade by Pablo. (Besides he speaks perfectly german - if there is any need.) We mostly enjoyed barbecuing (Weber Grill!) at the terrace during the beautiful sunset, breakfast among humming birds at the sun desk or listening to the rain forest after sunset. The amazing garden hosts exotic plants and animals like butterflies, headlamp beetles and lizards. We hope to be there again some day!

Stunning views, stunning location

5 of 5
First of all, the bad point - The photographs on the website simply don't do justice to the views you will experience, it would be impossible to capture such a beautiful view using a camera! As soon as we arrived at Caribbean Blue suite we were instantly drawn to the gorgeous views out to sea and beautiful sunsets. The living accommodation has wooden Z-Fold doors on two sides which can be opened up to fully expose the views and allow the sea breeze to blow in. It has a relatively small kitchen area, although it is fitted out with everything you will need including a full-size oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender (that crushes ice). I think the management must read these reports because I noticed that an earlier review mentioned there was no pizza tray, but one is supplied now, which was useful ;-) The suite has a large air conditioned bedroom with large shower room, both of which are very beautiful. Caribbean Blue Suite is located next to (but not immediately joined to) Emerald Hill Villa and this villa was not occupied during our stay so Uriel the manager allowed us to use this Villa too, which gave us almost 360 degrees of views around the full headland and TWO pools!!!! Christine the cleaner/maid visits daily to clean, tidy and wash pots, which made us feel very spoilt. You are given a mobile phone pre-loaded with money and all useful contacts including Oasis Marigot Reception (which is across the bay and accessed via a convenient water-taxi), Albert the taxi driver, Uriel's number, etc. which we found very useful. The Suite is about a 15 minute walk down a steep hill to the village where all the restaurants are located including a small supermarket. We did this walk many times during our stay and although very hot, it wasn't too bad. The villa is about 80m (240ft) above sea level, so that gives you some idea of the height gain. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic get-away-from-it-all holiday, I can't recommend the Caribbean Blue Suite highly enough.

Our Anniversary at a Tropical Paradise!

5 of 5
Pelican House is the perfect tropical get away for all types of travelers! Whether you're a SCUBA diver, a water enthusiast, or just want to relax, Pelican House provides privacy while having several amenities nearby. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary here and loved the home and island. The open-air layout of the house, the spectacular view of Marigot Bay and the unique tram that drops you right at the front door, makes this house a must stay place in St. Lucia. Compared to other locations on the island, Marigot Bay is quiet with less activity. That's what we like! The diving was great and Scuba Steve picked us up at the local dock. No need to travel to them. The local food was delicious and everyone on the island was so polite, friendly and helpful. Take advantage of Smally, the taxi driver for a variety of tours, or rent a car and explore. Pelican House is everything that Jim and Gail said it was. We would recommend Pelican House to anyone visiting St. Lucia.
