Amazing views!

5 of 5
This property has one of the most amazing views with a lovely terrace and pool to enjoy it! My husband and I stayed her with our 2 year old daughter and her grandparents. There was plenty of room and we spent most of our time looking at at the water from the terrace. The nearby beach has calm, warm water and is easy to get to with a car (plus you can park right on the beach). It seemed to be more of a local's beach which we liked. The best part was that the property manager had a crib set up for our daughter and she even took the extra time to have safety fencing put up around the terrace so that we didn't have to worry about her squeezing through the bars. This allowed her to run around the place freely and gave us a chance to sit back and relax. It is very close to the airport (commuter airport) but it was fun to watch the planes come and go - especially for my father-in-law who's a pilot. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone!

great place to stay

4 of 5
The location of BBH is excellent for access to all parts of the island. Its secluded position on a steep hillside above tree level and surrounded by greenery, with wide views of the ocean and Castries to the North, is spectacular. The only slight disappointment for keen sea swimmers is that the surf at nearby La Toc beach, reached by an intriguing private path and steps, tends to be rough. However, several good swimming beaches are only a few minutes drive away and the lovely pool is a great substitute. The spaciousness of the accommodation is a great bonus, and all three bedrooms had similar facilities and views. The huge balcony with a wide selection of comfortable seating made a most enjoyable meeting and eating area. The fact that we were living in a family home gave added interest and the owner, Alice Bagshaw, who lives nearby, made us feel welcome and relaxed and was a mine of information about recent island history. One small downside about the facilities was the rather crowded space and dated equipment in the kitchen - a slight inconvenience for energetic self-caterers such as us! The staff, Uriel, Pearl and Junior were attentive and helpful and looked after us well. Our requirements for holiday accommodation are probably not typical of most visitors to the Caribbean, as we mostly enjoy exploring remote areas independently, but BBH would be an ideal place for both relaxing and chilling out and as a base for taking in any of the more active attractions of the island. Beach bums would do well to rent a vehicle. Finally, thanks to Oasis Marigot for facilitating out booking so efficiently and to Alice and her staff for their hospitality and attention to out requirements and special requests.

Thanksgiving Vacation at La Paloma

5 of 5
Our family chose La Paloma over many other villas in St. Lucia based on so many factors this beautiful home offered us. We loved the location near the capitol of Castries and the close proximity of Rodney Bay. The villa had the right amount of rooms/beds and bathrooms and a beautiful view of the Caribbean as we were so close. Valerie helped us so much to make sure we were comfortable with our choice and our arrival smooth! The boys loved the pool and we were able to grill as we liked on the BBQ. Roseline and Susie are excellent cooks and were very helpful in our stay, the island Rep Diane helped us manage our time with all of our excursions and arranged what we needed which was very helpful. We met very nice people in St. Lucia and found the island to be very lush, tropical and the sailing trip we took was exquisite. Roseline cooked our American Thanksgiving dinner of turkey and it was moist, delicious and we were very grateful for the time we were able to spend with our family and the wonderful, relaxing 9 days we were in St. Lucia and La Paloma.
