Villa Canary is a wonderful place for a holiday. My husband and I spent two fantastic weeks there with our two daughters and my mother and we could have stayed there forever! Juan, Celeste and Cathy were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived – and to answer all of our questions and help us with anything that we needed. Our older daughter celebrated her 6th birthday while we were there and they helped to make sure that she had a special day.
At the villa, there was lots of space for our girls to run around (both inside and outside in the garden) and they loved the play structure and pool. The view of Martinique from the porch is wonderful and we enjoyed watching the boats sail by while eating lunch outside. The villa itself is quite spacious with four bedrooms (one king, one queen and the others with two single beds) with their own ensuite with outdoor shower (loved it!) and air conditioning. The main area is open concept with a cathedral ceiling – the kitchen is huge and had everything that we needed and the living room and dining areas were lovely as well especially with the beautiful mural that is painted on one of the walls. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of Villa Canary, but were never far from anything that we needed. We rented a vehicle while we were there and it was only a short drive (less than 10 minutes) into Rodney Bay for groceries or restaurants with a couple of restaurants and a golf course even closer. There are a few beaches within a 10 minute drive of the villa - Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay, Pigeon Point in Gros Islet and Cotton Bay beach (great for kite surfing). We went to a different beach every day - nothing is really that far in St Lucia and we drove all over the island (1 ½ hours from one end to the other) to see waterfalls, plantations, the Castries market and an aerial tram ride in the rainforest. We fell in love with St Lucia and can’t wait to go back again next year!
