Zandoli = Heaven on earth

5 of 5
The villa is beautiful, well taken care of and in a great location. It is perched on a hill side facing Pigeon Island where you have a view of beautiful blue water, beaches and the bay to the south. I cannot tell you how much time we spent sitting on the deck looking out towards Pigeon Island and listening to the waves. It was a great way to begin and end every day of the vacation. The pool is really nice when you get hot and there is a grill and bar downstairs to enjoy your time around the pool area. The two main bedrooms are large and the bathrooms have great open air showers. The other bedrooms are good size as well and have their own bath rooms. There are two living areas to use if you want to relax indoors but they both open wide to the outdoors. The housekeeper, Diane a.k.a. Velda, is really friendly and took great care of the house during our stay and was really helpful if we had any questions. Below are a few items for future renters to consider. Some of these are duplicates from other reviews but very valid. These are not complaints but if you know these up front you’ll have a perfect vacation. 1. The road to the villa is a little rough so I recommend using a SUV although it is passable by car or van. If you do a lot of driving the path becomes tedious to drive multiple times every day but the view makes it all worthwhile. 2. The villa is not air conditioned and for travelers like myself that are used to AC it can be hot at times but my fix was to jump in the pool or sit on the deck and enjoy the breeze. While sleeping… keep the fans pointed on you and you’ll be comfortable. 3. Bugs…This is an open air villa so use bug spray and the mosquito nets. The book in the villa shares tips and was a great resource. Keep in mind much of the island is a rain forest so there are going to be bugs and if you use insect repellant you will be just fine. 4. The internet connection is a single ethernet cord but honestly I recommend that you don’t waste your time on a computer. I actually stayed disconnected from both the internet and cell phone and it was one of the best vacations I have had in years! The villa is close to Rodney Bay which offers restaurants, shopping, a grocery store, fresh fruits and veggies from local farmers and a casino. If you are willing to drive you can experience the entire island from Zandoli. St. Lucia and Zandoli are close to heaven on earth. Happy travels!

Amazing villa, with spectacular views!

5 of 5
Akasha Villa was amazing. Me and my Husband got married in St Lucia and we had seen this villa online and had to book it for our honeymoon. We have been planning this for over a year and could not wait to stay there. When we arrived we were amazed by how beautiful the villa was and it was more then we expected. The views in every room just blew us away, they were spotless with the latest mod cons which was such a treat. There is everything you need in the villa, from a luxury home cinema to a games room and swimming pool to yourself. Juliet was our chef, she cooked us some delicious food and if you do stay there you have to try her local juices, you will not be disappointed. The owner was so helpful and professional with all our correspondence during the time of our booking and entering the villa, we could not thank him more. We are so glad we stayed in Akasha, as this is a memorable honeymoon for us. We wish to visit again in the future.

Wonderful open house with amazing views!

5 of 5
My mom passed and left me a small inheritance. Decided to take my family (son, daughter, son-n-law, & wife of course) to St. Lucia. Decided on this house based on needs (AC in bedrooms) and prior reviews. What a perfect choice we made. Now this house might not be for everyone...it's open to nature...we had geckos on the wall and a cute little black bird that would fly in and say hello on a daily basis. But much to our surprise, the bugs were not bad at all. But the house is beautiful! Very relaxing. Pool is awesome and the porch gave us breathtaking views during day & at night. You could walk across the street to a grassy road that would lead to a lot for sale overlooking bluff and beautiful ocean views. Or walk up the hill above and have 360 views. Christian aranged for Peter our taxi driver to pick us up at airport. 2 hr ride to Mount du Cap where the house is. We decided not tor rent a car, and we used Peter everyday to take us to Rodney Bay for dinner, or to Pigeon Island etc. Peter took great care of us. Gertrude was our housekeeper and was wonderful as well. We are an active family, so we would walk down the hill to the 2 resorts below...Cap Maison & Le Sport. You can use the beaches for free and snorkel. Also you could use the bars on the beach at Cap Maison if you had cash. Very friendly bartenders & staff at both resorts. We went on a snorkel tour to Pitons thru Le Sport resort...it was awesome! Might have been best vacation ever. St. Lucia is beautiful at every turn, and Christian made sure we were taken care of thru Peter & Gertrude!
