Highly Recommend this Beautiful Home

This property is exactly as advertised, what you see in the advertisement is what you get and you get a lot! The views are incredible from the front patio and the house is very comfortable in every aspect. In our party, we had 6 adults ranging in age from the mid-forties to the mid-seventies and we all loved this property. Some of us enjoyed the 1.5+ mile walk to the Marriott or the beach bars, but the walking conditions are not great - you have to walk on the edge of a busy road (there are few sidewalks on the island). However, the taxi drivers are very friendly and relatively inexpensive - the average price was $3/person for a one-way trip. We met a taxi driver that we really liked and called him for all of our driving needs - I would suggest doing the same - you will get great service and the cost will be cheaper. When we return to St Kitts, we will stay here again!! Don't think twice about this property, stay here and you will enjoy all that St Kitts has to offer. Traveling note - you MUST know the property name and location for your immigration form - we scrambled through emails to find this information before we were allowed through customs.

Beautiful, spacious home and garden by the beach

5 of 5
My sister, mother and I just spent a week at Black Sand Cove and enjoyed it immensely. I work in Lagos, Nigeria and after living in an environment with high population density and very few places to enjoy time outdoors, our visit provided just the kind of relaxation and rejuvenation I had hoped for. Black Sand Cove has so much space! I was so happy to be able to go outside in a beautiful environment and wander around the property with only the noise and action provided by nature. The property has been beautifully designed, with many different spaces and views to enjoy. My sister enjoyed the butterflies and the amusing sound of the donkeys in the background. My mother enjoyed the hammock by the pool, and I loved being able to wander down to an unoccupied beach whenever I felt like it. If you want to get away to a place that has many of the things you can’t find in a busy crowded city, this would be the right place. The house had everything we needed to cook with and was very much like being at home, but much, much nicer! Adolpho provided excellent support if we needed anything and made arrival and departure vey smooth for us. The notebook describing restaurants and activities on the island made it easy for us to figure out what to do. We also got to meet the very friendly and interesting owner Linda, and talked with her about how the place had developed over the last decade.

Guestbook Comment

5 of 5
Gingerland hill villa is not only exactly how it looks or described on it's website. IT'S EVEN BETTER !! Being on our honeymoon with children and guests , we had some reservations about booking Gingerlandhill there were no written recommendations for reference. But all our doubts were blown away after just minutes of wondering within the house and grounds. All the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, the facilities are immaculate and modern, everything worked a bonus. The 360 deg.wraparound verandah was a real joy for the children who seem happy to run along it all day. The villa stands apart and elevated from neighbouring properties to ensure privacy and uninterrupted views looking up the mountain and down the island, across to the sea with the islands of Monseratt and Antigua clearly outlined on the horizon.Truly sublime. The neighbours were unintrusive, friendly and polite. The villa is located 10 mins drive up from the nearest beach. But you should consider this a bonus because it's location offers some excellent natural air conditioning, especially important with the Island's warm evenings when you want to chill out not sweat out in the lounge or verandah, or not fight with sand flies-the house is above the sand fly zone. We have previously rented some wonderful holiday homes in Europe, and often in Devon and Cornwall, England, and I would honestly rank Gingerland Hill alongside the best of them. But none of their locations would come close to surpassing Gingerlandhill's or the Island of Nevis. Have a Happy time. Roose and Karen
