Wish we were still there

5 of 5
Lazy Turtle was a fabulous house for my husband and I to stay for our first visit to Nevis. I would return in a heartbeat to enjoy the quiet solitude and relaxing pace of Nesbit Beach. Jane has a network of helpful people to get there with the least bit of hassle, a well oiled machine. The house is just right with a wonderful large screened porch that overlooks the pool. Enjoyed coffee and views of the ocean sitting poolside with the black heron and hummingbirds. Very secluded and private but easily accessible to stroll over to Nesbit Beach Plantation. Had a great tour with Marlon Brando to get a lay of the land and decide where to go back to explore on our own. Hope to be able to return to Nevis and Lazy Turtle again in the future.

over-the-top great place

This charming two bedroom villa has it all--a wonderful ocean view, a private pool, easy access to the beach and some high quality restaurants, and the island flavor. Visiting sheep, goats, monkeys, and even donkeys add to the ambience. The owners, Jane and Ron, were extremely helpful and friendly.

Relaxing in Paradise

5 of 5
This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations I have had. Jane Paul is the owner/director extraordinaire. We received prompt, accurate information from day one through the entire process. Her recommendations for activities and dining were spot on. Wherever we went on the island and we mentioned that we were guests of Jane Paul, the locals immediately recognized the name and gave us superior service. It was evident that Jane is locally involved and the people appreciate her dedication. We had a group so we rented both Lazy Turtle and Coral Reef. The view from Lazy Turtle's screened porch to the ocean with the palm trees swaying in the trade winds was so relaxing. We could walk to the beach and collect shells or swim. It was evident that great care was placed in the gardens around both properties. The flowers and blooming bushes were exquisite. My camera never stopped. The furnishings in the villa provided everything to meet our needs. All was in good condition and I felt comfortable and at home. Jane suggested the Thursday Night Beach Buffet next door at Nisbet Plantation. DO NOT miss it. The food was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The deserts were small pieces where you could sample it all...almost. Other restaurants that were suggested that we visited were" Mount Nevis Hotel, Golden Rocks for their crab/lobster salad, Sunshine's for a Killer Bee, Yachtsman Grill, Bananas, and Beach Pizza. All provided a little different atmosphere and cuisine. Jane made transportation easy with her recommendation of "Marlon" for a rental car and Daisy for pick up at the St. Kitts airport and Vincent's water taxi to Nevis. Timing, directions, and accuracy were- "10". The landline in the villa made it easy to make local calls. We used our cell for long distance and texting. FREE internet service at the villa made keeping in touch and updating a breeze. Nevis is a great place to go and relax. It isn't too commercial, but there is enough. Marlon gave us an overview tour of the island with enough information to "wet" our appetite for what we wanted to go see on our own. We bought wood carvings from Kennedy, toured the many local churches of history, the Botanical Gardens, the Craft Market, Jewish Cemetery, Fort Charles, and went deep sea fishing... which Jane was kind enough to schedule and set up. The men went golfing one day. There is a small market near the villa for staples and there are several large grocery stores within driving distance. GREAT!
