Amazing experience once again!

5 of 5
I never thought Nevis could get any better, but then I returned and stayed at Coral Reef Villa. My first adventure on Nevis was as a solo traveler, so I stayed at one of Jane's other properties, Conch Shell Cottage, which is a lovely bungalow with all the essentials one (or two) could possibly need. I would highly recommend Conch Shell, especially for solo travelers, but nothing quite compares to the views, comfort and serenity of Coral Reef Villa. From the moment you arrive in St. Kitts, everything is seamless. You are picked up at the airport by Daisy, taken to meet Wincent at the boat, and met by Marlon at Ouaile Beach to whisk you away to heaven. Nevis is a place to relax and refresh, so don’t go there thinking you can shop and go out on the town every night. It’s not that kind of place, and that’s exactly what I love about it. The hot springs in Charlestown are a great way to begin your day and socialize with local folks. After your dip in the springs, go and have breakfast at The Café Des Arts on the waterfront in Charlestown. The breakfast sandwiches (and especially the bread!) are to die for. If you want to take back a bit of Nevis, visit New Castle Pottery, just down the road from Nisbet Plantation, or Kennedy’s Hand Craft Center which is on the way to Golden Rock. Both of these people are local artists with pieces worth pampering to get back home. Go off the beaten path, and explore the island and its untouched beauty. Savor in the local fare of fresh fish, lobster, vegetables and fruits which are abundant in Charlestown. Mansa’s is a close alternative for fresh staples if you don’t want to venture all the way to Charlestown. There’s also a gas station about a mile or so away that has delicious fresh breads and the best butter cookies you’ll ever sink your teeth into. Don’t’ miss Golden Rock, Sunshines, and Lime on Friday night! If you have the time and would like to take the scenic route back to St. Kitts, leave on the ferry from Charlestown and take the Caribe Breeze. You can sit up top and really enjoy the views when you are leaving. It’s inexpensive ($10 US) and an enjoyable ride if you have the time and the weather is nice. Jane is the most accommodating hostess one could ask for, and she will do whatever is necessary to make sure you have the vacation of a lifetime. I will return to Nevis, and I will rent from Jane Paul when I do. The only question is when.

Lovely!!

The reality of our visit to Nevis and our stay at Moonbeam far surpassed any expectations we had prior to arrival. It truly was the vacation of a lifetime. We were traveling with our two teenage children and everyone had a fantastic time. The photos from our vacation can't touch the beauty of the island or Moonbeam. To sit on our deck with a rum punch after a dip in the pool before taking a shower al fresco was just perfect. The house is comfortable, it has a perfectly stocked kitchen, lovely areas for entertaining or playing games and the sunset views were spectacular. Duncan and Gigi provided us with all the information and services we would need. They set up our water taxi, rental car, suggested beaches, restaurants, activities and much much more. The locals were welcoming and courteous and navigating the island was much easier than we anticipated. I really cannot express enough what a fabulous time we all had. We would definitely do this again!

Paradise Found

5 of 5
This was our 10th anniversary trip, and my husband and I wanted a relaxing, secluded, clean, fun vacation spot. We were leaving small children and busy jobs behind so it had to be worth it! IT WAS! Hedda was very accessible before/during our stay. However, to be honest, we were a bit concerned with the loose plans upon arrival in St Kitts (ask for so-and-so), but even when we doubted our safety or the plan, everything was seamless (other than our non-arriving luggage, which Christian personally got for us the following evening). Trust the recommendations. We arrived in the evening to a villa filled with spa music, bottle of bubbly on the counter and a space that was as beautiful as the online pictures. (Pack snacks for a late arrival as food options may be limited.) We woke to sparkling water and gleaming sunshine upon raising the shades. Wasting no time in using the espresso machine and pool, we then braved the roads and headed to the store upon Rohenie and Raj's arrival and recommendations of where to go. We got some essentials for the nicely appointed kitchen but also dined out at some good places (Chrisi Beach Club for lunch 3 days (a great menu for fresh foods, burgers and cocktails), Indian Summer, Sunshine's, Bananas, etc.) Get a car so you can explore. We also filled one morning with a spectacular waterfall hike in the jungle. The beach sand is soft yet hot as a volcano during the day. Water is calm, clear and secluded. The ferry for cars to St Kitts is close by but you only see it when it leaves the dock. When sitting at the villa you can't see the dock due to the privacy walls and foilage. The road behind the villa doesn't disrupt your trip and offers great accessibility to this tiny island where bugs are limited, goats are a plenty, driving is on the opposite side of the road (for Americans) and you can pull off to any beach and jump out to see the beauty of Nevis. We even tried the mineral bath (which is nothing to look at but feels great if you can stand the heat) and a massage on the patio during the one and only rain shower. We stayed in the off-season, so the crowds were lighter than even normal (great chance to meet some of the island regulars), so we had to be a bit careful in selecting our nights at particular restaurants due to schedules. We were spoiled throughout the trip. The tranquility and beauty of this island and each of the people we met refreshed a part of our souls and marriage that can't be explained in a review!
