This place was a great place to stay for our 4 night trip to the Black Hills. My wife and I had been up there 3 previous times, and we'd always camped at nearby Stockade Lake North campground. But we no longer have our Travel Trailer, and we wanted to take our granddaughters up there so they could experience the area. The place is nicely appointed with all the necessary ammenities, and as indicated in the write-up, most everything is brand new (except the 60's era dining table and chair set, but it is in great shape and adds character to the place, gotta love turquoise vinyl!). The location is wonderful, only 4 miles from the town of Custer, which is our preferred "home base town" when visiting the area. That is about as far as we had to travel to town from the campground when we used to stay there.
Having a washer dryer turned out to be a great perq, after getting caught in a deluge downpour... and needing to clean soaked and dirty clothing! The fridge has an ice maker, and the kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals, which saves a ton of money!
If I have any criticisms, and they are NOT a big deal, is that the TV only had 3-4 channels (antenna), which was tough on our teenaged granddaughters. But we survived. Also, the Queen bed is a bit on the firm side for our liking, but we were usually so tired by day's end, it really didn't matter.
Oh, and there is wifi! It is not mentioned in the write-up, but it is there and works well! That saved the day with the teenagers!
Thanks Ken, appreciate your hospitality and the place.
