Excellent Location for your Black Hills trip

5 of 5
The property was as described, very good location for taking in all the sights in the Hills. It is located in the middle of everything, just off a main road, but still in the country. It was well decorated for a vacation cabin, and the kitchen was very well supplied with everything you need to fix and serve meals. The bathrooms were big and had plenty of good linens, the beds were very comfortable. Mike was easy to work with and we had a great time at his wonderful cabin. Will try to visit there again! SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON!!!

5 of 5
My husband and I enjoyed 6 nights at the Miners Cabin and it was so much more than we expected. I left home stressing that I had forgotten toiletries and I arrive to the cabin to find full bottles of everything we may possible need, including stocked cabinets with spices and all the "little" things you don't think about packing. The owner was amazing to work with and extremely accommodating. We are looking forward to hopefully making this an annual vacation and as much as we want to keep this little piece of heaven to ourselves, we have to share this beautiful location with all our family and friends.

Beautifully Maintained Home

4 of 5
This is a lovingly maintained home that was built by the owner. It is open, spacious, and well stocked for groups. It is out in the country, with beautiful stars at night that can be watched on the front porch swing or on the large back patio. It was delightful to come back to this home after a full day of activities in the Black Hills. We were visited by deer and wild turkey. The owners live in a small home next door, and are ready to help however they can. The home is spotless, and well stocked with all necessities. The large dining room table only has six chairs, and there is a counter that can be used to eat on. Additional dining is available outdoors, as long as the weather permits. There is a large family room with fire place downstairs, and a nice TV room upstairs. Wifi connection is available. There are 3 1/2 baths downstairs and one upstairs. The large master bedroom has a king size bed, which is raised and requires steps to get into. The adjoining master bath is large with a tub/shower combination. There are two to four beds in each of the other four bedrooms. The only complaint from two couples in our group was that the mattresses were much too hard, (bunkie boards instead of box springs) and the pillows were either too big or too small. These couples were not able to sleep as well as those in the master and other front bedroom. It would be nice if there were some memory foam toppers or at least eggshell toppers to soften the beds. The property advertises an indoor "hot tub". We all brought our bathing suits since where we are from, a hot tub is typically outdoors, where several people can get in and socialize together. The "hot tub" in this house is actually large jacuzzi bathtub for bathing, not socializing. Two individuals took baths in it after they had been on a hike and said it was nice for soaking. One note, guests are asked not to wear shoes on the gorgeous hardwood floors. Be sure to bring some slippers or flip flops if you don't like to walk in socks or bare feet. I really wish I could give this home 4.8 stars. Because of the rock hard beds in the bunks and upstairs bedroom, I am not giving it 5 stars. However, 4 stars seems too low since the home is really very lovely. I highly recommend it for groups.
