Wonderful Place

5 of 5
My husband, two boys and I stayed in this condo this past week and we really enjoyed. It was very clean and wonderful just like the pics. I cooked just about every night and they had every utensil and pots you could ask for. Very friendly and quite neighborhood. My boys really enjoyed the pool and basketball court. We will be returning in the future.

Relaxing Time At A Great Condo!

5 of 5
Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us! We had a fabulous time and would love to come back again next year! We stayed at the condo 2 weeks ago with another couple and had a wonderful time. We try to plan a trip with our friends every year, and this year the husbands won and got their choice, a golf resort! Although my girlfriend and I aren’t big golfers ourselves, there were plenty of attractions nearby to keep us occupied. Besides beaches, miniature golf courses (which are more of the level my girlfriend and I are at!), there is also some great shopping spots and great restaurants....overall a beautiful and relaxing place for a getaway. As for the condo itself, my first impression of the place was ‘cute and cozy’, and more importantly, clean. We were on the ground floor, with a nice little walk-out patio where we sat and drank our coffee in the morning while enjoying the beautiful view. The interior was bright and clean and equipped with all the essentials, like dishes, soaps, cleaning products, etc. Anything else we needed, including groceries, was nothing more than a short trip away. If you’re looking for a nearby restaurant, I recommend Damon’s. They had fun happy hours on the beach, and some of the best Prime Rib we’ve had. The restaurant on premise at the driving range was good too! As far as the golf, our husbands thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They said some of the courses were a bit challenging, but let’s just say they’re no Jack Nicklaus! The owner of the condo was very pleasant to work with and very accommodating. Aside from general essentials, there was a phone for local calling, dvd player and wireless internet access. (unfortunately, I had to check emails on vacation, so this was handy) Overall, our experience was great! It was our first time renting from HOME AWAY, and our first time at Barefoot Resort, and we would definitely do it again. The entire experience has been wonderful and we are looking forward to doing it again. I would not hesitate to recommend this condo and its location to anyone looking for a quiet, clean and well maintained location in North Myrtle Beach. In fact, I told other friends of ours and they are looking to book at the end of the summer.

Rocky Start, Excellent Ending

5 of 5
I received a prompt reply when contacting the owner via HomeAway. I was quoted a flat rate for the weekend. We rented a high floor, end unit. The management company emailed a request for a $35 deposit to reserve the unit with final payment due 48 hours prior to arrival. After providing my credit card number, I found that they instead charged the full amount. When I inquired, the rep said he was "confused". I contacted them again after no response and was offered a refund of all but $100, which would be the deposit. I asked several times why the changes when the email clearly states $35. Neither the management nor the owner ever responded. I wound up paying the full amount upfront for confirmation. This certainly gave us all pause as to what other miscommunications or lack of communication might follow. Luckily, it turns out, we were not scammed. The rate quoted is what we paid and only the deposit amount was screwed up. I caution you to be very sure about the terms before you give out your credit card number. The unit was easy to find and parking was plentiful. There were a handful of small defects (broken towel rack, red stained carpet, missing cabinet knobs), which we reported immediately because the contract, which we received on arrival, says that failure to report could result in our being held liable. Still, none of the issues overshadowed our joy that the unit was beautiful, spacious & well appointed. We declined maintenance, but (fyi) they came by unannounced the next day evenso. The place was also clean, comfortable & quiet! The largest room has two queens, large bath, garden tub/sep shower & private balcony. It feels like the master. Bdrm 2 has king bed, tub/sep shower. Bdrm 3 has two queens & tub/shower combo. Both queen rms are lockout; king is not. Kids loved the huge pool & there were plenty of seats, umbrellas & nice hot tub too! We much preferred taking a short walk to the pool over having pool noise just outside our balcony. Views of Barefoot Landing & the IC waterway were great, including Labor Day fireworks! There's a picnic area with charcoal grills beside the unit (keep it in mind). Elevators were prompt & luggage carts easy to find. Bring extra kitchen towels, potholder, blanket. If you forget staples, Walmart is close by! Putt-putt, movies, golf, shopping, ocean...all nearby! Our biggest regret is that we only booked a weekend. We hope to stay a little longer next time. Highly recommended.
