Cool Experience on the Shook Up Shark; Great Hosts

5 of 5
My wife and I enjoyed our 4 nights on the Shook Up Shark during our first trip to Charleston, SC. Description and pictures were accurate and left no surprises on our arrival. Joel was very accomodating and friendly, and responded promptly both before and during our stay when we had to contact him even though it wasn't a time sensitive inquiry. Charleston itself was fantastic, it was pretty easy to walk into any restaurant and find a great meal. We used a couple of Joel's restauarant recommendations and they didn't disappoint. I'd recommend the Shook Up Shark to anyone looking for something a little fun and different on their vacation. The only point I'd remind people to consider is that although it's a large yacht, some aspects of the living quarters (e.g., shower, doorways) are smaller than what you're used to. At 6'1" 185# I didn't have any issues, but I found myself thinking that a few inches taller would make things a bit uncomfortable.

Great Weekend on the Yacht

5 of 5
Booking and working logistics with Joel was very easy and not stressful at all. When we arrived (10:30 am!) the yacht was clean and well prepared for our arrival, including a complementary bottle of Champagne! The marina is only about a mile to downtown which was nice for going out. Everything about the yacht was convenient, comfortable, and well thought out, and the bed was legitimately one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept. We've never stayed on a boat instead of a hotel before but we will whenever we can in the future because it's so nice to have space to relax and hang out.
