We had a wonderful stay! The house is large and the 3 master bedrooms gave each family there own space with each having a private balcony. No one felt that they got the better room, all were great. Three teenagers fit in the other two bedrooms well. Flat screen TV's in each room. Nice DVD collection, though we did not use. Seven bathrooms, one for each bedroom as well as living area and outside too. Very convenient. The outside space is exceptional and the real gem of the house. The weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked, however a outdoor heater was provided (we didn't use, but I am sure it would have made it cozy). The lighting, palm trees and yard is very pretty and makes you feel like you are really on vacation. There was tons of seating options outside. The house is situated in a way that you get tons of sun til evening, however there is also plenty of covered space with fans for those times when it is just too much. Pool was cold which was expected considering the weather, so it got very little use, but would have been great. The house has a lot of privacy since it is tucked in slightly away from the others, which was a big plus for our group. It is extremely close to the beach with access directly across from Rainbow Drive.
We rented the golf cart which was great. Used it for shopping, Walmart, checking out the area, the pier, etc.
The elevator was very handy for loading/unloading the car. Otherwise didn't use, but worth its weight in gold for set up/pack up and shopping.
Owner responsive when I had questions.
The open concept living/dining/kitchen worked well. This is not where you will spend most of your time as this is a house for those who really want to enjoy the outdoors. But the indoor area is bright with many windows, and a balcony that lead to the back yard. Again nice outside seating on the balcony.
Garden City was more laid back than central Myrtle Beach, that was a plus for us. Still plenty close to area attractions. We ate at Captain Georges, Crabby Mikes and Bubbas fish Shack, all were very good. Didn't like Divine Fish House in Murrells Inlet, loooong wait and food not worth the wait.
We really enjoyed our stay and I would definately chose this house in the future. Good for anyone, young and old alike. May need to provide extra supervision for small children because of the pool, but the yard is big enough for them to play in, even a child size picnic table. Rent and enjoy!
