Recent Edisto Island Reviews

I got that Peaceful, easy feeling...

5 of 5
We wanted to take a few days to getaway and "detox" from our crazy schedule and this charming cottage providied the perfect setting. Edisto Island is a great place to get back to nature and really explore the coastal region. Much of Edisto is virtually unchanged from the time of our early American history, and the simplicity of life on this tranquil island is there for you to experience. Exploring Botany Bay Plantation and the amazing white washed trees and shells on the beach was a great excursion, just make sure you find a restroom before you enter the preserve! The cottage was very clean and orderly and is equipped with most of what you need to have a wonderful getaway. The TV is small and functional but listening to the frogs in the pond at night proved to be more entertaining than the TV. Just take it all in and relax. That's all you'll need to do here!

Great Little Getaway

5 of 5
We had a great time staying here. We had a wonderful time, and you just can't beat it for the price. I cooked breakfast one morning. The cottage had everything I needed. The distance from the beach is far enough to be out of the hassle of the beach, but it is wonderfully secluded. Also, the view of the old churches on the island on the way to the beach is beautiful. We ate at some wonderful restaurants, and enjoyed a few nights playing cards. The bed is cozy and very roomie. Our stay was a little chilly because of the weather, but I look forward to renting here again and having my morning quiet time under the big oak tree sitting at the picnic table. The tiki hut is very nice. Also there is an outside shower. My family really enjoyed this little cottage and we look forward to making a return trip. It really made our trip to Edisto wonderful.
