Spectacular home close to everything!

5 of 5
If you are planning on visiting Cape Town, you have to stay at Maison Noir. Set in a quiet neighborhood, nestled at the rear of Table Mountain with stunning mountain views, this home has every amenity and is much better than any 5 star hotel. It is just minutes from beaches, hiking trails and great restaurants and about 20 minutes from downtown Cape Town. The home is architecturally STUNNING and feels like a luxury, boutique hotel. The large communal spaces are perfect for larger groups but there are numerous areas throughout the home that are private and intimate. There are four amazing bedroom suites, three essentially similar but with different motifs; each with a private loft area and en-suite bathroom with outdoor rainfall shower. The master suite has breath taking mountain views with a private beach and outdoor Jacuzzi. The staff is wonderful and dedicated to catering to your every need. Charisse, the house manager, is not only the best host, but she is also an amazing chef. If you decide to eat-in, breakfast, lunch or dinner, she will definitely not disappoint you with her culinary talents. Our stay at Maison Noir was not just wonderful, it was truly AMAZING. My partner and I travel often and this home is truly one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed. We can’t wait to book our next vacation here. Many thanks to everyone at Maison Noir for making our stay perfect!

Lovely Cottage

5 of 5
Wondefully furnished Lime Cottage. Comfort and all the mod-cons. Heated pool a real plus. Warm welcome by Athol who was very helpful and friendly. Great location near to walks on Table Mountain & Kirstenbosch, the Constantia vineyards, easy access to Cape Town and the Waterfront and easy to get on the motorway bringing you to the Winelands. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Breathtaking

5 of 5
On arrival, you are blown away by the breathtaking location, the beauty of the house, the gardens, the vineyard and its magical atmosphere. The property is huge. We were received like princes and princesses. Being a large group, we appreciated the possibility to be all together. Everywhere there is ample space. You never feel closed in. The pool, the private lake and its shore, large kitchen, gigantic dining room table and the various sitting rooms and alcoves leave you spoilt for choice. There are also all the very large balconies and corners of the gardens were one can find complete privacy. The location of the house is unique; it is situated at the end of a private road on an isthmus of land jutting into a beautiful shimmery body of water. The house is surrounded also by gardens are a labor of love and would be a wonder and delight to all that may harbor an inner horticulturist within. It is very private and there are no neighbors. The plan was to use the house as a home base and to travel into Cape Town, Camps Bay or Stellenbosch for the restaurants, bars, wine tasting or shopping but we to found ourselves never leaving the estate. In our opinion the Chef at the house could not have been surpassed by any restaurant and as luck would have it, the estate produces award winning wines which we were struck by and loved. The result was we were at a loss to think of a good reason to leave. It is a dramatic house, the light moves throughout through the large windows during the day and the way it is lit up at night is truly remarkable. The modern open architecture, colorful style, large scale original artworks does have an effect on you after a while, like living a dream, you catch yourself feeling equally bright and dressing to match. Have no concern about bringing and wearing your best holiday linens, you will find the in-house laundry service better than your own at home. On that note, it is worth mentioning also the (beyond duty) friendly and efficient staff. The house is spotlessly clean, in top condition, you will find no fault.
