Spectacular home close to everything!

5 of 5
If you are planning on visiting Cape Town, you have to stay at Maison Noir. Set in a quiet neighborhood, nestled at the rear of Table Mountain with stunning mountain views, this home has every amenity and is much better than any 5 star hotel. It is just minutes from beaches, hiking trails and great restaurants and about 20 minutes from downtown Cape Town. The home is architecturally STUNNING and feels like a luxury, boutique hotel. The large communal spaces are perfect for larger groups but there are numerous areas throughout the home that are private and intimate. There are four amazing bedroom suites, three essentially similar but with different motifs; each with a private loft area and en-suite bathroom with outdoor rainfall shower. The master suite has breath taking mountain views with a private beach and outdoor Jacuzzi. The staff is wonderful and dedicated to catering to your every need. Charisse, the house manager, is not only the best host, but she is also an amazing chef. If you decide to eat-in, breakfast, lunch or dinner, she will definitely not disappoint you with her culinary talents. Our stay at Maison Noir was not just wonderful, it was truly AMAZING. My partner and I travel often and this home is truly one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed. We can’t wait to book our next vacation here. Many thanks to everyone at Maison Noir for making our stay perfect!

Wonderful holiday, highly recommended

5 of 5
We were recommended this beautiful place by friends who had stayed here earlier in the year. We were not disappointed. The house has absolutely everything you need - Norma had thought of every little thing. It's a safe and secure residence and whilst a little way outside of Cape Town Central, much better value as a result. You are right on the routes to Stellenbosch and winelands and into Cape Town as well as down the coast. There are plenty of amenities nearby, supermarkets, pharmacies etc as well as many beautiful beaches. We did something different every day and still managed to have a completely relaxing holiday - with our nine month old baby. Norma was a delightful host who had struck a perfect balance between being helpful and on hand but also just let us get on with things. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful house to future holidaymakers.

Lovely stunning views

5 of 5
The property was stunning, spacious with great views. There is huge attention to detail and each room had lovely linen and accessories. The property is exceptionally well maintained-there was an easy to read "what to do list" in the kitchen, not too many instructions which made us feel right at home. If there is load shedding there is a gas hob and gas braai in the pool area, so you can still cook and boil the kettle! The manager was friendly and quick to respond to emails. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives but am not sure if I would take my children-it is far too nice! We also cooked a wonderful dinner and ate at the extended dining room table which has a fantastic view of False Bay.We used the train to get to Muizenburg, ate at the Brass Bell, visited the Cape point Vineyards in Noordhoek which has a fabulous Food Market on a Thursday evening from 16h30 until 20h30. We also took a Surf Lesson in Muizenburg from the Surf Shack. All in all a wonderful weekend away!
