BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS!

5 of 5
The apartment far exceeded our expectations. We could see at once that a great deal of thought had gone into the decorating and furnishing. Everything was in excellent taste, spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. We loved the photographs in the lobby and in the living room and bedrooms. The beds (and the bedrooms) were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. The location of the apartment, too, being within five or ten minutes' walk from the centre of the city, was ideal for exploring the many attractions of Bucharest (museums, opera, concerts ...). The written information provided by the owners contained many useful tips on what to see, where to go, where to eat out, etc. The owners were also most helpful in arranging for a trusted and reliable taxi-driver to transfer us from the airport, to hand over the keys and to show us around the flat. On request, they promptly provided us with a second set of keys so that both couples of our party could come and go independently of each other. If we manage to make it back to Bucharest again, this apartment will be our first choice. We would warmly recommend it to our friends or relatives, or indeed to anyone planning a stay in this beautiful capital city.

OUR TRIP TO THE BLACKSEA COAST

5 of 5
the place was situated into a strategic corner of the town . from the railway station it takes about 8 - 10 min drive to the place . the apartment was provided with everything what need for a good living standard, in very good condition, and clean .satelite tv.and permanent internet connection included. the culture house situated close, where, are organized many concerts, folklorical music and dance festivals ,and other events. also beautiful monument dedicated to local heroes who died defending the town of mangalia in the second world war.not so far away is situated the eldest muslim monument belt by an otoman princess in the memory of her father, and it`s the only one with maor influence from east europe . in the way to constanta can find the archeological museum where can see and find many interesting things about the greek and roman era, before jesus.the food is good and tasty with greek turkish and italian influence and good table wines and other drinks, local included, can be found without much effort. local people friendly and the young generations are speaking many european languages, so comunication is easy. the trip was a succes !

CENTRAL AND ACCOMMODATING

5 of 5
The amenities and location, and the thoughtfulness and concern of the owner and neighbours made this apartment the perfect place to stay for my daughter and I. In fact, the owner of the apartment was incredible in all she did for us and we arrived in Bucharest for our first ever visit feeling very much at home - best of all, the warmth and welcome we were shown by the owner was reflected in the many wonderful people we met during the week-and-a-half we spent in the city. With regard to the apartment, it is spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated. Everything you could need is provided. There are clear and convenient instructions for appliances and other things such as the internet, and this made everything easy. The apartment was spotless, and the neighbourhood peaceful. Historic sites, world-class shopping and the University are all within easy walking distance. There are numerous choices for traditional or international cuisine at nearby restaurants or, alternatively, very complete grocery stores. Our favourite restaurant very quickly became the Hotel Horoscope, just 2 blocks down and across the street. I was able to try local dishes such as mamaliga and my daughter, who is less adventurous, could stick with things she knew. (If we needed to catch a taxi, this was also the corner). Continuing past the Hotel Horoscope you could cross the Piata Unirii with its fountains and continue another block to reach the large grocery store (Carrefour) around the corner on Bvd Corneliu Coposu (for convenience, there were heavy plastic carry bags for groceries in the kitchen of the apartment). The walk past the fountains of the Piata Unirii to the houses of parliament and then back along Strada Lipscani with the exposed archeological foundations of some of the oldest buildings in Bucharest, and then coming back along Saleri street and looking at the local glassworks was our favourite route. We hope to have the opportunity to travel to Bucharest again, and we very much hope to stay here again.
