Great location for family

4 of 5
Lots of room, great kitchen, super frig. Yard spacious and private. 5th bed rm in basement not as show in pics. Location excellent. Plenty of parking. Would recommend this property. Loved the seafood and water activities.

Picture Perfect

5 of 5
I rented this sweet cottage in May for about 6 days by myself. It was a long weekend away for myself to spend time relaxing, sketching and photographing. The cottage is perfect, very well renovated with new stainless appliances that brought out my desire to create nice meals when not dining in the village of Wickford. The view was a bonus. I even enjoyed fireworks that went off across the bay at Newport that you could see past the bridge. I enjoyed walking in the neighbourhood and talking to friendly neigbours and the owners of this rental could not have been more accomodating, knowing I was alone they checked on my to make sure I was fine, I was very touched. I felt very safe with the cottage and neighbourhood. I have rented another cottage that they have over the past 6 years and this new rentals did not disappoint. I would love to return and recommend it completely.

Exceptional home!

5 of 5
This is a beautiful home. And it is a home, not a rental property, and it makes a world of difference. You feel as if you're visiting your own family or dear friends, it's comfortable and welcoming. The decor of the house is wonderful, it's a classic old farmhouse with rustic wooden doors but with all the conveniences of a modern home. Wireless internet, cable, wonderfully outfitted kitchen, plenty of nooks to sit and read in or have a nap, VERY comfortable beds, bright, airy....this home is perfect for large families or a group of friends. The house is set up so there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, then 2 of the bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house on the second floor, and each has a bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms are in between, and totally convenient to the bathrooms, so it's a wonderful set up. The surrounding property is glorious, open fields, beautiful trees, stone walls....there's a field behind the property that my daughter loved to ride her bike around. The outdoor shower was heavenly, we are already planning our own at home we loved it so much! It's also perfect for returning home from the beach. The house is also very close to so many places, and easy car rides to Wickford center, grocery stores, beaches, etc. You can go on some wonderful walks as well, and we definitely recommend walking down to the Gilbert Stuart museum, the grounds are lovely, and for those interested in colonial era farms/homes/furniture, it's a lot of fun to take the tour. This is a property for people who want to feel as if they are at home, and will treat it that way. The owners are lovely, and we are extremely grateful to them for opening up their home to us. We found we didn't want to leave the house much, and spent a lot of time there relaxing, catching up with our extended family, and eating! We will come back another time, and already miss "our" home away from home. Thank you Jane and family, you were so welcoming and gracious. Thank you so much!
