The owner and his wife met us at the property to do a quick walk through. When I asked about where the washer and dryer was located that the contract clearly indicated as being accessible for use during a week's stay. The owner told me that the machines were not in working condition. He led me to a laundry room with a locked door. I told him one of the attractions to his property was the accessibility of a washer and dryer. His response was it will be fixed for next year. I told him my children and grand children would be visiting me during the week and this would cause a grave inconvenience. He totally dismissed me and changed the topic to reimbursement for beach parking . The contract also indicated use of exercise equipment and the equipment was non existent. When I left the home on 8/24/13 I left a very nice note thanking him and requesting reimbursement for beach parking of $105 as agreed and use of the local laundry of $72 a total reimbursement of $177. It is know 3 days later and the owner has not attempted to contact me to make good for the violation of the written contract. It is more insulting that even though cleaning services were included my wife cleaned daily as though it was our own home. I would consider renting this property again if the owner contacts me in an effort to resolve these issues.
