The best kept welcoming house

5 of 5
My family had a wonderful stay in the house last summer. The house itself is maintained very well - it is the best kept rental we've seen so far! The feel of the house is very welcoming and warm. The decor is beautiful. It had home feel the moment we walked in. My kids told me they like it better than their home! The house had everything we could ask for. The kitchen is well stocked, there is plenty of space for everyone, the owners really pay attention to details! The owners are very friendly and great to deal with. Very open in communications, attentive and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations about the surrounding area. The location is great! The house stands on a quiet road. There are plenty of things to do near and not that far. The weather did not cooperate during our stay, so we took lots of side trips, visiting the beach only a few times in 2 weeks. The beach is family-friendly with a playground ad a small cafeteria. There is a park nearby with an observatory where you can see planets and stars. There is a farm on the way to the beach with a playground and various kids' attractions. There is a working lighthouse in the area which is open for tours. Other attractions we visited within 45 minutes drive were the mansions of Newport, children's museum in Providence and Museum of American Indians on rainy days, Mystic Seaport and Aquarium. It took just a bit longer to get to Battleship Cove in Fall River, MA, Submarine Museum in Groton and Essex Railroad. I highly recommend the place!

Exceptional Home For The Holidays

5 of 5
My wife and I along with our daughter, son-in-law and grand daughter recently completed a 9-day holiday in South Kingstown, Rhode Island staying at this wonderful home situated right on Green Hill Pond. The house was immaculate and the generous space divided amongst ground, second and third floor was laid out perfectly for our needs. We happen to vacation annually in RI around this time because of the fabulous beaches, many old friends from the days back when I used to live here full time and the food of course. The house has several water views amongst many of the rooms as well as upper and lower decks facing the pond. Having rented many homes in this area over the past several years, this one has the best kitchen we've seen that's great to look at with its natural hardwood floors and operate in with its ample space. The owners were always available and helpful as well as the caretaker if need be for any questions. We love the South Kingstown Town Beach and as an added bonus, the owner provides a free parking pass as well as canoe/kayak, private dock and various other amenities. You can't go wrong here with a great house, great location and wonderful Owners who really pride themselves in what they are providing to their renters. We whole heartedly recommend this property to any prospective renters.

Great Family Vacation

5 of 5
This was an excellent location. The house was roomy and bright with a nice deck for eating and relaxing. My kids sat out there and played their musical instruments. Nicely furnished, but not enough seating if everyone wants to lit and watch TV (the summer Olympics were on while we were there and the couch was a bit crowded). There was plenty of parking and an outdoor shower. The private ocean beach was very nice and easy to drive to and park, but no lifeguard so you have to keep an eye on the kids. We visited the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, which was a very short drive away, Mystic, Ct. and the Aquarium made a great day trip, and you could visit the aquarium free the second day if you get your tickets validated. We enjoyed another great day trip to Newport and the mansions. We happened to be there on Governors' Bay Day and all the beaches were free that day so we were able to check out a few different beaches. We also went to the beach in the late afternoons, there was free parking after 3 or 4 and the lifeguards were still there for a while. There was so much to see and do we were never bored. Had a fun time shopping at The Fantastic Umbrella Factory in Charleston, where they do not make umbrellas, but have many interesting things including a small Bamboo Forest and free range chickens, as well as art and clothing. We even went to a local concert of Irish music in the town center. There is also a nearby flea market, and a seafood festival was going on while we were there. There was so much to do that it seemed like we were there for 2 weeks. We have 4 teenagers, age 12 to 19, and they all had a great time and found lots to do.
