Recent Scarborough Beach Reviews

Amazingly perfect for our little family.

5 of 5
The house is close to the beach, within walking distance (no car needed, and my children didn't complain once about the walk). The house is perfect, and I actually don't think the other reviews gives it enough credit. There is a small room to the right for a single person, and bunk beds for my children that they adored. The master bedroom was ideal. Not only could you sit and have coffee out there in the morning but you could see the ocean while doing so. The other really great option is the sun porch. We had every meal out there. The breeze through the room was amazingly perfect. The outdoor shower was great for a final rinse before going in the house, and the clothes line helped with beach towels and bathing suits. We spent a good portion of our time at the beach but we did venture out, there is so much to do so close.

Great place to stay, wonderful location

5 of 5
Ruth has made a fantastic place to enjoy a beach vacation. There is everything you need in the house (towels, linens, shower products) and the outside shower is heated. She had ready for us wine and cheese and chocolates. There is a good size grill for making dinner. There are plenty of games in the garage, movies for a fun evening after the beach, and the beds are comfortable. She even has a TV in each bed room. But the stellar point is the beach access. Being able to walk down and enjoy the amenities of the 1/2 mile boardwalk, with 2 shops, food vendors, bathrooms and rinse showers. Plus there are great restaurants close by (recommend Iggy's, HammerHead Grill, and George's). If you go here, make sure to check out Point Judith lighthouse and Coast Guard station, Fort Adams and 12 mile Drive in Newport. We had a wonderful week, and will be back! Thank you Ruth for creating such a wonderful beach house.
