Totally Awesome

5 of 5
Had the pleasure of staying here at Bittersweet Farm for 5 nights during the end of winter moving in to spring.....here's what you'll get: Beauty inside and out, Privacy, Clean rooms with nice linens, Big screen TV, Bose with docking station, Fireplace, Great kitchen, and an Art Gallery. Location is perfect for privacy and beach goers because you are only 3 miles form the center of Wakefield, and surrounded by both the Narragansett and South Kingstown beaches within 5 miles. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants close by too......Probably the best in terms of a high end rental....it's more of a home instead of vacation rental....

Rhode Island dream house

5 of 5
For the past 2 years a friend and I have stayed at “Owl’s Cote” in June. The house and park setting are reminiscent of historic homes for rent by the National Trust in England. Three words describe the interior of the house; comfortable, relaxing and elegant. The tasteful furnishings are a combination of modern and antique. The new kitchen has everything. Most evenings we could be found in the garden courtyard, sitting at a table having dinner with the sound of ocean surf in the distance. On the other side of the house is a bluestone patio overlooking a lawn, mature trees and flowering shrubs with the sounds of songbirds flooding the air. (property borders the Norman Bird Sanctuary) I’m a surfer so the location was unmatched. It’s a short walk to “Second Beach”, an expansive sandy ocean beach with rolling waves and no commercial trappings or development. If nature were not enough, it’s only a short drive (or bike ride) to Newport where there are many historic sites, good restaurants and a harbor filled with boats of every kind. A perfect vacation spot with lots of things to do.

Comfortable, relaxed spot for the whole family

5 of 5
We spent a week at the house in September - mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, a 3-year-old and a baby. The house was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-located to make short day trips with the whole clan. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck, playing ball in the back yard, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. James, the owner, was very thoughtful and responsive and made the visit easy and enjoyable. Thank you!!
