                      The ultimate waterfront cottage

                      5 of 5
When I stay in this cottage, I feel like I've found a little slice of heaven. When I am away from it, I dream of going back. My husband and I first spent a long weekend there, and returned in August for a week-long stay. I love the privacy, the amazing deck directly on the water, the "they've thought of everything" kitchen and the ability to walk to two great local restaurants on nights when we prefer to stay close to "home." Rainbows appear. Gulls greet you. Sailboats dot the horizon. It is the most peaceful place I've ever stayed, and if you love gazing upon the water, you have an unobstructed view 24 hours a day. This spotless cottage is also just a short drive from local farms, clam shacks and the fabulous Newport mansions, yet far enough away to savor the peace and quiet. The nearby towns of Tiverton and Bristol offer lovely scenery and delicious restaurants and shopping. Deborah is an attentive owner who's always available to offer help or advice. There's something special about this cottage, and we hope to return for more visits whenever our schedules allow. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Rhode Island.

Ahhh..The screened in porch with a great view

                      4 of 5
The property was very nice and clean and the big screened in porch was fabulous, we spent most of time in it. The only drawbacks are: there is only one small bathroom (which we knew going in) and though they technically had cable, there was only one 26 inch TV that essentially only got the local affiliates of CBS, NBC and ABC. We would have liked to be able to watch the Red Sox or a few other stations at night. These are the only things that kept it from 5 stars - but I'd still go back.

Adorable beachfront home with amazing view!

                      5 of 5
What a wonderful and welcoming home! The listing description was dead on; the house was neat as a pin, well stocked (plenty of towels!) and perfectly situated in the middle of Aquidneck island. Newport is 15-20 minutes to the south, Providence is 30 minutes to the north. If you fly into Warwick, it is about a 40 minute drive. Our jaws dropped when we walked into the house and saw the view from the dining room, the Sakonnet River is outside the back door. We came to Rhode Island for a wedding at Glen Ellen Manor and extended our stay for a few days. We visited some of the mansions, walked around downtown, hiked the Cliff Trail and rambled around on some of the beautiful sideroads. We strongly recommend a visit to the American illustration Museum in Newport, it is a treat to see Maxfield Parrish, Wyeth, Rockwell and Pyle original art displayed in an amazing house. We shopped at the Clement Market, half a mile up the road; there is also a country market stocked with local fruits, vegetables, milk and cheese at the intersection of 138 and Fairview, the turn-off to the rental. This house is a worthy rental, we highly recommend it. We will miss the morning coffees on the beach and nighttime stargazing. We will miss watching gulls drop conch shells on the beach. We will miss the incredibly friendly neighbors who made us feel welcome. Thanks so much to the owners for providing a home that helped make our vacation a delight!
