charming Narragansett rental -- great location!!!

5 of 5
Charming cottage at the edge of Narragansett Bay -- lulled to sleep every night by the sound of the waves - enjoyed the stars overhead -- the sunsets -- even a rainy day was pleasant; tremendously easy to get to local restaurants -- enjoy George's of Galilee for chowder and clam fritters; the Sweet Spot for pastries and egg sandwiches; Aunt Carries for fabulous ice cream; Iggy's for convenience if you didn't mind the long lines. Clean and charming and five folks managed here nicely. We went all over RI with this as home base -- took the Block Island ferry; went to RISD and the Roger Williams National Park site in downtown Providence; visited Newport and the famous mansions and the Touro Synagogue National Historic Site; visited friends in CT -- all things within an easy distance of the cottage -- loved it and would definitely return. Also an easy distance from TF Green (RI airport) --

Cute, comfortable beach home - Really enjoyed it!

4 of 5
We were pleasantly surprised at all the work the owners have done that are not shown in the pictures. There is a nice outdoor shower and the old dining room is opened up with new, comfortable living room furniture. The deck also has new furniture as do some of the other rooms. One big plus is we noticed the owners did an awesome job in stocking the home with appropriate supplies, i.e, kitchen utensils, cookware, paper towels, towels, sheets, - the list goes on. They really thought of everything. The neighbors were all very nice - neighborhood quiet. We really enjoyed the daily visits by the Rhode Island egg laying chickens (from a B&B nearby) - got a kick out of it. Short walk to the beach, great biking - it was a great week and we hated to leave.
