Clean, Bright Apartment with Wonderful Owner!

4 of 5
My husband and I visited RI for our anniversary and stayed at this apartment. The apartment is very well kept and immaculate. Barbara has a lovely book outlining her suggestions for the area and some extra perks for your use as well (I won't list them specifically since she may change them as time goes on). Amenities: The apartment is fully stocked and you really don't need to bring much. There's a full kitchen which came in handy for us to save money on breakfast and lunch. The bathroom is stocked with towels and shower supplies as well. The bed is very comfortable too! Parking: You get your own off-street parking space. Location: The neighborhood is so quiet and all of the houses are well kept. We loved walking around and viewing all of the beautiful homes on our way to the beach. You are about 25-30 mins away from Newport (traffic pending) and 15 mins from Jamestown. We were in Newport mostly and the drive isn't so bad. The traffic is Newport isn't great, but I think that's normal, especially for tourist season! Bonnett Shores beach was peaceful. Overall, it's a great location since it's less expensive than staying right in Newport and it's an easy drive to and from (if that's your destination). Noise: The one and only reason for the 4-star review instead of 5 is that the walls are pretty thin between the two apartments. For most people, I don't think it would be a problem. For light sleepers like myself, you may hear some walking around and talking next door. Owner: Barbara is a gem! She is very attentive in making sure your stay is wonderful and hopes you'll come back. She responded to me quickly and gave us a lot of information about the area. We had one complaint with noise from the neighbors while we were there and she handled it with such compassion and generosity. Thank you for lending us your apartment for our vacation!

A beautiful escape

5 of 5
I'm almost afraid to say how amazing this rental is for fear that it will be booked up next year. All you need to bring is food clothing & some mode of transportation if you're staying a week. The rental price is extremely reasonable for the amount of amenities provided. Catherine & Dick were very gracious hosts. The property is pritine. The dock is great for kids as well as adults. The beach has millions of shells which is beautiful but I suggest water shoes to protect delicate feet. Prudence island & it's history is amazing. The ferry ride is easy & smooth. We will definitely return soon.

Great apartment in terrific location

5 of 5
Had just three days to spend at the beach and was so lucky to find a 3-day window of availability between rentals of this lovely apartment . The apartment could not have been more thoughtfully equipped, tastefully done or cleaner. Have rented many cottages in the past and none with as many thoughtful touches as this landlord provided. The description of the property and the amenities were exactly as described. The landlord told us that the only thing we had to bring were our own towels and she was absolutely right. There was air conditioning in each bedroom which was greatly appreciated as we had a HOT few days. Though the remainder of the apartment is not air conditioned, we were supplied with numerous fans and the evenings cool down nicely. Though the apartment sleeps 6, I think it might feel a little tight if the 6 are all adults as there is just one bathroom. There is a great deck that holds a picnic table and small table with two chairs. The backyard is very well kept and there is a fire pit (with wood supplied) surrounded by chairs for anyone who would like to use these. The apartment is on a quiet street yet within easy walking distance of Narragansett state beach restaurants. A major supermarket is only about a mile away. Would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning there.
