          The Perfect Wave

          5 of 5
The name of this property says it all! However, its not just a clever name describing an amazing property thats walking distance to two of the area's local surf spots but a lifestyle and a feeling that expresses the personality of the properties owner's that frequent one of the cottages on site. Beth & Dave have created their own slice of heaven with every detail reflecting their lives as seaside natives and surfers. From the vintage longboards on display to the carved wood trim of surfboards and a Woody on the exterior of cottages and not to mention two antique Woody Wagons that we were lucky enough to see first hand. My wife and our families stayed here the week we got married and found house and cottage to be incredibly clean and well kept and actually saw owner Dave put in some serious elbow grease replacing the trim on one of the cottages. Its always great seeing someone care for their properties with such passion. There are countless activities within a stone's throw and we did them all beaches, mansion tours, sailboats, helicopter rides the list goes on but the most fun was a fishing charter in Newport where we came home with enough fish to feed the neighborhood. We really enjoyed the open layout of the house where we gathered for some truly memorable feasts. This place is amazing and in a great location but words can't describe the genuine nature and sheer awesomeness Beth & Dave have created...Cheers! P.S. We're Totally Coming BACK!

          Home away from home

          5 of 5
As soon as we arrived, my family and I were very impressed. We had everything we needed from toiletries and blow dryer to kitchen stocked with spices right down to gas grill and washer & dryer. We went to the topiary and one of the mansions. We went to the Greenvale winery and the Rum Runner cruise and enjoyed drinks on the adirondack chairs at Castle Hill. We were very close to the beach and restaurants and enjoyed making s'mores over the fire pit. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog along since the whole family was together for a wedding. We are all in agreement about making this an annual vacation spot for our family gatherings. Hopefully your home will be available if we can get everyone together again. Thank you for making our wedding week even more memorable!!

          Beautifully charming home and grounds.

          5 of 5
My wife rented this beautiful home to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family visiting from the UK and Australia. Betty Lou and Bill were gracious hosts, meeting us in the rain when we arrived as well as being available to call whenever we had a question, during our stay. The house had more than enough room to accommodate 8 and the garden and grounds were beautifully kept & maintained. Everything is as described and pictured if not prettier and more charming than. The 3 children and our cocker spaniel Harley, had a wonderful time playing in the garden on the swings and spotting birds and rabbits around the 4 acre property. There's a charming walk carved out through the gardens at the back too. The location is ideal. nice a secluded for privacy. Though an easy bike or walk to third beach. A car will get you quickly everywhere else. Sandy point beach was an ideal beach for us. Perfect for kids and they allow leashed dogs too. We ate out in Newport at a Mexican restaurant called "Perro Salado" - delicious! There my daughter and niece politely chatted with Parker Posey who was in town shooting a Woody Allen movie that week. For a group of 4 or more / or 2-3 couples with kids this is perfect. We all had a wonderful stay. We would certainly stay again and we highly recommend this Middletown RI vacation home to everyone.
