Great summer family getaway

4 of 5
This was a great house for a summer family getaway including my daughter, son-in-law and their infant, plus my son, myself and my partner. Having the beach so close made it easy to come and go, and accommodate the baby's nap schedule. We had two (!) great meals at Matunuck Oyster Bar, and the farm stand and small grocery right in town were very convenient. The two upstairs decks were perfect for afternoon happy hour and late night relaxing, with a lovely open view across the field right to the ocean. The house was clean and large enough for everyone. The only drawback was that the house felt a little "crowded" with lots of accessories, artwork and decorations. But that's such a personal choice, so not really a complaint. I would definitely would recommend this property.

Better than home!

5 of 5
Home was immaculate, spacious, warm and invitingly decorated. Kithcen had everything needed, Home was close to beach (walking or biking). Quiet neighborhood, great outdoor deck, shower, yard. Downstairs level with TV and bathroom and couched worked well for teen son. Great location for beach, nearby bars/restaurants,farmers market (if only there was a cut-through from yard ;) . Enjoyed breezy dinners on the deck every night! Would rent again from this easy to work with owner!

"WRAP-AROUND WATERFRONT"

5 of 5
We rented this luxury home for my Mom's 90th birthda celebration and brought three families together for the weekend. We were uncertain of the weather in October, but it wouldn't have mattered if it rained every day. The home sits on a pond that wraps around the property so there are water views from every window and the home was designed to take full advantage of this incredible view. We have rented many houses in Vermont, Martha's Vineyard, and the Caribbean and have never rented one as nice as this and been as surprised at how it was actually much better than captured in pictures. It is decorated lovely, impeccibly clean, fully stocked with spices, kitchenware, games and just about anything you would need and expect for a family. The layout is ideal with two living spaces and a great room downstairs for kids with bunk beds and two theater chairs to watch movies on a flat screen. The dock, off a beautiful green lawn, is great fun for kids to explore. Although it was too cold for the kids to swim, it was very entertaining. You would never need to leave the house or certainly get in your car. You are in walking distance to two beaches and lovely homes to take in. You can walk to two bar/restaurants on the water, one seasonal pizza house, fully-stocked market, ice cream store, and the best restaurant in Rhode Island is within a short drive. AND I'M SERIOUS ABOUT THAT...Matunuk Oyster House is just a short boat ride away, but by car you need to hop on the highway one exit and it is incredible. They farm oysters in front of the restaurant, along with ther seafood, and it is not only fresh, but delicious. It is not expensive and has a great view. All and all, this home is a wonderful find. I'm hesitant to write this review because I want it available to rent again which I certainly plan to do. If you are looking in this area, rent this house and if it is more money than other choices, it's well worth it!
