                        Wonderful vacation get-a-way!

                        4 of 5
Great family vacation house - comfortable walk to the beach with places to eat, get ice cream and groceries close by. House was in good shape and clean with a nice backyard and several decks. Great little neighborhood to take walks or ride bikes in. The owner was very informative and easy to work with. Every recommendation that she made was very good.

Best vacation in quite a long time

                        5 of 5
This is a beautiful property, and well worth the money to stay here. It is well appointed, beautiful view of the surf, sea and "the Block", long boarders and wind surfers. There were ten of us (8 adults and 2 little ones). We brought our own pack and play for one of the little ones. The kitchen has all the utensils, pots, pans, etc to plan for meals. Gas range was wonderful - stove took a bit to figure out, but once we did all was good. A couple of things we might recommend. More blankets and sheets - we could not utilize the pull out sofa, and there was not enough bedding, and it was chilly at night. The path to the beach can be very tricky, especially if you have an older crowd, and unfortunately, there was a lovely family of skunks that had moved into the bushes, and we were unable to go down the path to the beach at night for a fire. We would recommend water shoes, as this part of the beach is very rocky. Overall this house is very well maintained, and is definitely a five. Karen is great to deal with. Visit with Tara at the Irish pub - she is a great lady - and the folks at the general store are wonderful. I am born and raised in RI, and currently live in Florida, and this is was an outstanding family reunion with 45 of us renting houses in the area. We will be back.

                        "WRAP-AROUND WATERFRONT"

                        5 of 5
We rented this luxury home for my Mom's 90th birthda celebration and brought three families together for the weekend. We were uncertain of the weather in October, but it wouldn't have mattered if it rained every day. The home sits on a pond that wraps around the property so there are water views from every window and the home was designed to take full advantage of this incredible view. We have rented many houses in Vermont, Martha's Vineyard, and the Caribbean and have never rented one as nice as this and been as surprised at how it was actually much better than captured in pictures. It is decorated lovely, impeccibly clean, fully stocked with spices, kitchenware, games and just about anything you would need and expect for a family. The layout is ideal with two living spaces and a great room downstairs for kids with bunk beds and two theater chairs to watch movies on a flat screen. The dock, off a beautiful green lawn, is great fun for kids to explore. Although it was too cold for the kids to swim, it was very entertaining. You would never need to leave the house or certainly get in your car. You are in walking distance to two beaches and lovely homes to take in. You can walk to two bar/restaurants on the water, one seasonal pizza house, fully-stocked market, ice cream store, and the best restaurant in Rhode Island is within a short drive. AND I'M SERIOUS ABOUT THAT...Matunuk Oyster House is just a short boat ride away, but by car you need to hop on the highway one exit and it is incredible. They farm oysters in front of the restaurant, along with ther seafood, and it is not only fresh, but delicious. It is not expensive and has a great view. All and all, this home is a wonderful find. I'm hesitant to write this review because I want it available to rent again which I certainly plan to do. If you are looking in this area, rent this house and if it is more money than other choices, it's well worth it!
