NICE LOCATION AND VERY COMFORTABLE HOUSE

5 of 5
This house was very comfortable for our family of 5. The 3 bedrooms are all downstairs, along with a full bathroom. Since we went in summer, the lower level stayed nice and cool, which was perfect for sleeping. The upstairs is well laid out with a large open living, dining, and kitchen area. The kids loved the glass checkers/chess table, playing multiple games each day. We enjoyed the deck table for meals and for playing cards - the view of Ile d'Orleans from the deck is quite lovely. And there was not a mosquito to be found! The house was well equipped, and the very nice owner, Guylaine, met us and walked us through the house upon our arrival. We took advantage of the bike path through the nearby neighborhoods - accessible just a short walk up the hill from the house (too steep for the grownups to bike up, but the kids managed). We also found a nice municipal pool in Mont Ste-Anne (on Rue des Erables) that has a great view of the ski hills (this pool is better than the much more crowded one in Beaupre on the main road). The house is just minutes from Sept Chutes (Seven Waterfalls) and Canyon Ste-Anne, an hour from the whale watching cruises in Tadousac, and only 1/2 hour from Quebec City. We recommend the restaurant Le Marie Beaupre - great food and excellent service. The only thing missing was an internet connection - being from outside Canada, we didn't want to use expensive cellular data, so we had to conduct all our research for weather and things to do from local restaurants with WiFi. It was nice to deal directly with the owner rather than an agent, and knowing she wasn't far away if we had any issues was helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others. Merci, Guylaine et Jordan!

BEAUTIFUL

5 of 5
Most important thing to say: The pictures faithfully represent this very pretty and cosy getaway. We are two parents with 15,11,and 8 year old boys. The lake was beautiful. The mosquito situation was reasonable - bring spray! We brought our bicycles and rode around the neighborhood a bit with my 15 year old, and I went for a nice walk with my wife to look at all the homes people had along the water. In the house, we spent most of our time sitting in the sunroom and in the dining room enjoying the warm wooden ambience and the gorgeous outside view. The home is large enough with enough spaces to accommodate a bunch of kids. The basement playroom was a big hit - between ping pong and foozball we never even got to the billiards. It is also very cool down there. The weather was nice (in early june) and the home stayed cool and comfortable - I presume there was no A/C. We were hardly upstairs, but there are some nice spaces up there as well (we slept very well after so much boating exercise). My kids caught and release a bunch of little fish. I'd recommend that the owner mend the rowboat slightly at one oar lock. It is still usable but with a very small repair, it would be more fun. Thanks very much to the owner. We look forwards to returning!

GREAT LOCATION, UNIQUE PROPERTY

5 of 5
I stayed at this property for 3 nights with 11 of my friends and it more than met our expectations. Not only is the property completely unique (indoor fountain, that tunnel between the two chalets), but the lake and surrounding forest, with deers, beavers, birds of prey, is downright breathtaking. It's hard to believe that you are actually quite close to civilization. It is the perfect mix between comfort and contact with nature. We had a lot of fun hiking around the property, enjoying the lake and relaxing. My only regret was not to have rented this property for a longer period of time.
