A Piece of Serenity

5 of 5
All we can say is this is the perfect getaway for city folks looking for a slower, calmer, peaceful pace to life. We had to make ourselves get out and about, wanting to simply stay inside by the pellet stove with a coffee and a good book. The views of the lake are breathtaking. The location is remote but minutes from town - a win-win. The kitchen is perfect for dinners at "home" and the back porch is the place to go and simply relax and get lost in reverie as you appreciate Nature's beauty. Fall is an exceptional time to visit this region. but I'm sure each season offers something special. Because of the Fall rains, we were unable to take the boat out, but we encourage you to take advantage of it, if you do plan a stay. It would have been a wonderful experience - for next time!

Lovely retreat

4 of 5
The Beech Chalet was a very comfortable and spacious home to return to after a day of exploring. We were 2 couples who enjoyed sharing the large living room and well appointed kitchen and appreciated the layout of the house. The upper level has one bedroom and a bathroom and the lower levels has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom which allowed for privacy and quiet time. The kitchen and bathrooms looked to be newly renovated were very pleasant and inviting. We would all be happy to rent the chalet again and do more exploring in the area.

Peaceful Place

4 of 5
We were a group of 11 - 4 adults and 7 kids (two of which were pretty much adults) arriving in the evening from Barrie and Bolton, ON. Upon arrival, the first thing noticed was the serenity of the lake and how cottagy the cottage was with all the wood interior. It had everything we needed. The deck outside had a great swing couch stacked with pillows and a single netted hanging chair (as well as patio table and chairs and 2 bbq's). We utilized all the beds upstairs as well as the couch and blowup mattress in the bottom level. The lake was absolutely amazing especially during the heat wave. The kids practically lived in the water. Clean and perfectly refreshing. There were a few water toys in the boathouse which we used plus the boat. My spouse caught three medium sized bass fish - Quebec fishing license in Labelle. The town La Manerve was only 10 minutes away so getting 'extras' was convenient. Mont Tremblant and St. Jovite were only 35 minutes away which were a couple of day outtings. I would completely recommend this cottage. It is rustic and very cottagy and it certainly made some great memories.
