A MAGICAL HIGHLIGHT TO OUR WEDDING..

5 of 5
Last fall my fiancé and I decided to hold our May Wedding in Georgeville. We contacted Barbara (the owner) several months in advance and she and her staff at the Georgeville Old Mansion House could not have been more accommodating to help us firm up our plans. The venue was absolutely perfect!! The building has eight bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom and our out of town guests were thoroughly pleased and impressed with its cleanliness and charm. The common areas are bright and spacious and there is a wide assortment of tables, chairs and comfortable furniture to suite any gatherings needs. We held the rehearsal dinner and final breakfast using the Mansion’s beautiful and well equipped kitchen and were delighted with how easy it was for several people to work together at once preparing all the food. The Village of Georgeville with all of its welcoming residents is a wonderful place to enjoy with family and friends and there is no doubt in our minds that the Old Mansion House is clearly one of its most magical highlights..

BEAUTIFUL

5 of 5
Most important thing to say: The pictures faithfully represent this very pretty and cosy getaway. We are two parents with 15,11,and 8 year old boys. The lake was beautiful. The mosquito situation was reasonable - bring spray! We brought our bicycles and rode around the neighborhood a bit with my 15 year old, and I went for a nice walk with my wife to look at all the homes people had along the water. In the house, we spent most of our time sitting in the sunroom and in the dining room enjoying the warm wooden ambience and the gorgeous outside view. The home is large enough with enough spaces to accommodate a bunch of kids. The basement playroom was a big hit - between ping pong and foozball we never even got to the billiards. It is also very cool down there. The weather was nice (in early june) and the home stayed cool and comfortable - I presume there was no A/C. We were hardly upstairs, but there are some nice spaces up there as well (we slept very well after so much boating exercise). My kids caught and release a bunch of little fish. I'd recommend that the owner mend the rowboat slightly at one oar lock. It is still usable but with a very small repair, it would be more fun. Thanks very much to the owner. We look forwards to returning!

GREAT LOCATION, UNIQUE PROPERTY

5 of 5
I stayed at this property for 3 nights with 11 of my friends and it more than met our expectations. Not only is the property completely unique (indoor fountain, that tunnel between the two chalets), but the lake and surrounding forest, with deers, beavers, birds of prey, is downright breathtaking. It's hard to believe that you are actually quite close to civilization. It is the perfect mix between comfort and contact with nature. We had a lot of fun hiking around the property, enjoying the lake and relaxing. My only regret was not to have rented this property for a longer period of time.
