This was my husband and my first visit to Quebec City - we were looking for inexpensive accommodations where we could bring our dog. Definitely not easy to find.
The apartment worked great for us. It is very clean, with a pleasant, bright, and spacious sitting/dining area. We enjoyed bringing back foods from local markets to eat breakfast at home, and sometimes a simple dinner at home, when we were too tired from sightseeing and just didn't want to go back out.
The immediate neighborhood is not a "charming" or touristy area, but it is a just outside the upcoming St. Roche area and a comfortable walk to many restaurants and bakeries. I felt perfectly safe taking the dog out myself in the evenings.
The first night we stayed was warm and with the windows open there was a fair amount of street noise - but that is to be expected in the city. When shut the windows did a great job of blocking out the noise.
Francis and May were quick to respond to our booking request, and had fruit waiting for us on arrival which was a lovely surprise. Folks who are looking for luxury accommodations are not likely to be happy here - but we were and I definitely look forward to returning!
