This studio apartment is exactly as shown and described in its listing. It is in a very good location for access to all of Montreal's attractions. The apartment was comfortable.
Fortunately, the weather was almost ideal during our stay and although sunny, never got too hot. Without AC, it might get unbearably hot in the apartment, especially because the large window/door-to-patio faces east, getting full sun in the morning. As it was, the overhead fan and a nice breeze with the window open were enough to keep the place comfortable.
The 38 steps up to the third floor might be a problem for some. It was OK for us as it helped to burn off some calories. The access corridors and stairs could really use some upgrading.
The closest Montreal Metro station is a 10 minute walk down the steep hill of St. Laurent which is very tiring on the return trip.
There is a public parking lot right next door which charges $10 from 6 to 6 - $20 for a full 24 hours (no in/out privilege).
Lots of neighborhood places to eat, although we only tried Burger Royal (excellent). The general area felt safe. Street noises were not a problem even with the window open.
No issues with the owner, nor with his partner who helped to carry stuff up to the apartment when checking us in.
We would stay here again, but not if the forecast was for very hot weather.
