Beautiful apartment, Great Location!

5 of 5
This apartment was fantastic! It is located in Montreal's Plateau area which is one of the nicest parts of the city. The location of the apartment is half a block from Prince Arthur which is a very happening spot on the weekends. Right between Boulevard St. Laurent and Rue St. Denis, you have the best places in Montreal at your fingertips. The apartment was as clean and beautiful as it is in the pictures. Dany was wonderful and very easy to reach. He was very patient with my questions and always responded within minutes. There is a lock code to get in, but I took the key everywhere I went as Dany suggested as a precaution, however I never needed to use it. This is a third floor unit and the outside steps are steep, however they didn't pose a problem for me. There is a balcony with a table and chairs which would be a nice place to sit in the summer when it is warm. The apartment was very modern, the beds very comfortable and it was equipped with some supplies such as spices, oils, etc. That was a nice perk. There were plenty of brochures, restaurant recommendations, taxi numbers and maps for people who are not familiar with the city. Dany thought of everything! There is a small supermarket on Prince Arthur, but if you want something bigger, the "Quatre Freres" supermarket on St. Laurent is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Also on St. Laurent: I recommend getting a smoked meat, or smoked sausage sandwich with sauerkraut at the "charucterie Hongroise" I also recommend a trip to Slovenia. Burger Royal is a nice Organic burger place to have lunch. Buy typical French cheeses, pates and other staples at "La Vieille Europe". Dollarama is a fun place to take the kids shopping (and it's fun for adults too!) On Prince Arthur, I suggest trying "Le Square" restaurant. It is French BYOB restaurant right at the end of the block of the apartment. On St. Denis: take your kids to the "Cat cafe". It is a fun little cafe where you can get a cup of coffee and pet the cats that roam free. There is also "Sushi St. Denis" which is all you can eat sushi. Delicious! "Express" is another amazing French restaurant, but you MUST make a reservation. This place is busy 7 nights a week! "Le Cafe Cherrier" also has amazing French food. If you want to try even more authentic French food, take a cab to "Au cinquieme peche" also located on Rue St. Denis. It is pretty far up and would be about a 30 minute walk if you are up to the challenge. Don

Great place to stay!

5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay at this place during Easter weekend. It was an upscale condo in a nice neighborhood downtown. Everything seemed new, clean, and well organized. Parking was a plus. Stef was very personable; he met us at the condo to greet and show the place and upon our departure. I would definitely recommend staying at this condo for your Montreal visit.

Very Comfortable and Convenient!

5 of 5
Great apartment! Clean, comfortable, well-apportioned, and conveniently located! My wife and son and I decided to visit Montreal for a week without any specific plans, and I'm glad we chose Stefan's apartment. The location is very convenient. We were able to take the airport bus practically to the door, and it's a short walk to two metro stations, Chinatown, and Old Montreal. It made the entire city seem very accessible. We could easily take the metro to Montreal's great markets and bring home bags of wonderful local food to prepare in the well-stocked kitchen. The layout and amenities are exactly as described, and the open floor plan gives the unit an airy feel. I like that the photos aren't done with that fake "fish-eye" lens/angle that tries to make a place seem bigger than it is. You can get a very accurate feel from the photos Stefan posted - it's obviously not huge, but it's more than adequate for around 4 people. My wife enjoyed soaking in the deep tub after long days in the snow, and our son had fun camping on the big fold-out sofa and being oddly hypnotized by French children's television. We did have one small issue during the week, but I let Stefan know about it and he addressed it immediately. He then followed up with us to make sure everything was satisfactory. And it was. Now that we know the city better I couldn't imagine staying in other location and if our plans ever bring us back to Montreal I'm sure we'll see Stefan again!
