This rental was an excellent option for my family of 4. What made this a great rental was A) the location and B) the roof deck. The location is perfect for getting around Montreal. Sites in Montreal are spread out so no one location puts you near everything and public transit is a must. This site is central and the 715 and 705 bus lines run within steps of the condo. These lines take you to major t stops on the green and orange lines and directly to the old town and port. Suggest purchasing the $30 metro pass for the week ($24 for 7 days and $6 for card) and kids 12 and under are free. Great value and necessary. Overall, Griffin town appears to be an up and coming part of town with a lot of young workers and some terrific condos. Grocery and convenience stores are only blocks away and construction suggest more are coming. The condo facility itself was amazing. The roof deck is rare for Montreal as the complex uses smaller 10 story buildings connected by roof decks, therefore resulting in huge space up top. 2 pools, 20+ grills, sand area and outdoor games like pool table and foosball. We could take our kids to a site during the morning and unwind with them in the afternoon on the roof deck. It was perfect for a metro vacation because you have the best of both worlds. The indoor gym, club room and pool were also great for bad weather or winter. At night the roof deck is great for viewing fireworks or unwinding. The condo is also steps to the elevator, so the deck takes 2 minutes to reach. Finally the condo and parking spot were both excellent for the city. Plenty of room for 2 people or a family of 4 with two small kids. Overall, you probably will not spend too much time in the condo if you visit in the summer.
Highly recommend the condo and will be looking forward to renting again in the future. Jay Niles
