Peaceful Place

4 of 5
We were a group of 11 - 4 adults and 7 kids (two of which were pretty much adults) arriving in the evening from Barrie and Bolton, ON. Upon arrival, the first thing noticed was the serenity of the lake and how cottagy the cottage was with all the wood interior. It had everything we needed. The deck outside had a great swing couch stacked with pillows and a single netted hanging chair (as well as patio table and chairs and 2 bbq's). We utilized all the beds upstairs as well as the couch and blowup mattress in the bottom level. The lake was absolutely amazing especially during the heat wave. The kids practically lived in the water. Clean and perfectly refreshing. There were a few water toys in the boathouse which we used plus the boat. My spouse caught three medium sized bass fish - Quebec fishing license in Labelle. The town La Manerve was only 10 minutes away so getting 'extras' was convenient. Mont Tremblant and St. Jovite were only 35 minutes away which were a couple of day outtings. I would completely recommend this cottage. It is rustic and very cottagy and it certainly made some great memories.

Great chalet in a scenic area at a very good price

4 of 5
The chalet is in a very scenic location overlooking Lake Maskinonge. It is very close to St Jovite and all its facilities. From there it's just a short hop to Mont Tremblant old village (our favorite - great lunches in the bike shop at a good price) or the main "tourist" area with its collection of restaurants, shops, ski lifts, etc. We were there for some triathlon training and found the many well kept trails, swimming facilities and roads excellent for that purpose. Incidently, Mont Tremblant has one of the best run Triathlon competitions we've ever been at. The chalet itself is very clean, roomy and modern, 3 bathrooms and nice bedrooms with very comfortable beds - slept very well especially with the fresh night air. The modern kitchen facilities were well equipped with appliances and utensils. There is extensive entertainment, internet, gaming facilities although we didn't use them much. All told a very positive experience at a very reasonable price. Should provide a good base camp for anyone doing one of Mont Tremblant's Ironman or triathlon competitions.
