Best ever!

5 of 5
Sonia has a wonderful condo. I believe it's close to 1600 sq ft. Extremely clean and very neat. The hot tub is on the back porch and ready for you to get in. Nov 1-8 was cold but oh so enjoyable. The pool table is downstairs and we enjoyed playing. Everything was perfect. We walked to to small grocery store across the street and was able to get anything we needed. The Pub next to it makes the best Irish Cream Cofee I have ever had! We drove to A little town called St Paul?? It was awesome. Also went over to De Orleans island and LOVED it. We didn't mind the 20-25 min drive to Quebec City since the view was so nice. Lots to do in the area! You can't go wrong staying here! We drove to Burlington VT one day and stayed the night. Not anything as good as Sonia's place. Then stayed one night in Montreal before catching our flight the next morning. Again not as nice as Sonia's place. We enjoyed the week and don't want to go home! Thanks Sonia for allowing us to stay in your wonderful condo!!

Nice location and very comfortable house

5 of 5
This house was very comfortable for our family of 5. The 3 bedrooms are all downstairs, along with a full bathroom. Since we went in summer, the lower level stayed nice and cool, which was perfect for sleeping. The upstairs is well laid out with a large open living, dining, and kitchen area. The kids loved the glass checkers/chess table, playing multiple games each day. We enjoyed the deck table for meals and for playing cards - the view of Ile d'Orleans from the deck is quite lovely. And there was not a mosquito to be found! The house was well equipped, and the very nice owner, Guylaine, met us and walked us through the house upon our arrival. We took advantage of the bike path through the nearby neighborhoods - accessible just a short walk up the hill from the house (too steep for the grownups to bike up, but the kids managed). We also found a nice municipal pool in Mont Ste-Anne (on Rue des Erables) that has a great view of the ski hills (this pool is better than the much more crowded one in Beaupre on the main road). The house is just minutes from Sept Chutes (Seven Waterfalls) and Canyon Ste-Anne, an hour from the whale watching cruises in Tadousac, and only 1/2 hour from Quebec City. We recommend the restaurant Le Marie Beaupre - great food and excellent service. The only thing missing was an internet connection - being from outside Canada, we didn't want to use expensive cellular data, so we had to conduct all our research for weather and things to do from local restaurants with WiFi. It was nice to deal directly with the owner rather than an agent, and knowing she wasn't far away if we had any issues was helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others. Merci, Guylaine et Jordan!

Mountain Birthday Getaway

5 of 5
We stayed at this rental in February for 2 nights for a short snowboarding trip for to celebrate our son's 4th birthday. The fact that it took me this long to get around to reviewing this wonderful place is regrettable, as I have nothing but good things to say about our stay. To start, the owner was very prompt on answering all questions and concerns I had via e-mail while inquiring about the rental. He was extremely flexible with us and our plans. We had a long drive with pre-schooler and weren't sure of our arrival time. The purpose of the trip was to attend Winter Carnivale in Quebec City, then do some snowboarding at Monte Sainte Anne the next day. The location was just close enough to both, and the ride to each was pleasant. Prior to arriving at rental the owner had the house lit up warmly, heated up comfortably, and looking extremely clean and well-kept. He gave us a nice tour of the rental and explained how to deal with each heating system, which we found very helpful. He was obviously fluent in both French and English. The rental was so cozy. I felt completely at home there and didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Our experience was wonderful. The pictures above don't do the place justice. I found it exceeded my expectations in person. I was so glad we opted for this multi-room rental as opposed to an over-priced, small hotel room. I would suggest this place to anyone and look forward to renting this place again in the future if we're in the area.
