Fabulous Island Retreat with all the Amenities

5 of 5
We recently spent a fabulous week at the Bravos Bungalows in Vieques. Tastefully done, the property offers two bungalows (one of three bedrooms, one of two), each with full kitchen, numerous ensuite bathrooms, and spacious living areas both inside and out. The two bungalows are adjoining but separate, perfect for two distinct groups or one large family gathering and the crowning jewel is the brand new saltwater pool with a stunning waterfall. The large breezeway, screened in sun room, and outdoor dining area are just a few of the extras we loved about staying at the Bungalows. The rooms are contemporary chic, everything you need and more from bottle openers to dishes to pots and pans and laundry room. Our room in the Pool Bungalow was large and well appointed, boasting an outdoor shower. Nothing like staring up at the sun while you get ready for the fun day ahead. Both the newly planted grounds and bungalows are impeccable. The compound is just a short walk from La Chata Beach, a great place to wander in search of sea glass and other treasures. Swimming at Sun Bay, romping in the waves at Navio Beach, Playa Grande, exploring the quaint stores in town and discovering the coolest dive bar (Al’s) to watch the sunset – all of these made our stay at Bravos Bungalows a totally rejuvenating and memorable vacation. We love Vieques and will definitely be back again. Clean, spacious, well appointed and private, The Bravos Bungalows is the island’s best kept secret but not for long because great news travels fast. If you love the beach and true island life, this is the place for you. Cannot wait to go back.

Absolutely Perfect!!!!

5 of 5
My wife and I have traveled all over the Caribbean and also to the Hawaiian Islands looking for the perfect place as a family beach vacation destination. We have struck gold with the Vieques Beach House! This home delivers so much more than what is advertised. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. And also fully stocked with swimming, snorkeling, and beach equipment. We took an entire day to travel around the island looking for other rental areas to compare and this one is the absolute best!! It's location beats all. Far enough outside of town to be quiet but close enough for convenience. Ron, the on island manager, was so nice! He shuttled us to and from the airport and helped us rent our jeep. He also drove us around the town of Isabel pointing out the best places to eat and shop. Once we arrived at the house he even took some time to review a fold out map of the island, pointing out the best beaches to visit and sights to see. If you are looking for an overpriced spa treatment vacation made up of massages, facials, and room service, don't come to Vieques. Come here if you want a relaxing adventure away from the rat race we live and work in. If you want the perfect family vacation filled with snorkeling, spear fishing, beach lounging, and seclusion look no further. We will definitely be back again!!!

Simply Awesome

5 of 5
This place is simply awesome. The house sits right on the water overlooking the harbor. The view is amazing at sunset! The patio and pool are great for relaxing and soaking up the beauty of the island. The house is really interesting and seems much bigger because of its open design. My wife and I loved this place and the privacy that it provided. The small dipping pool was a huge plus! We loved having our own private pool, and the pool area is really set up perfectly for just hanging out and relaxing. Again the view is amazing! A huge plus about this place is that it is so close to the local fish market. We bought fish and lobster while we were there, and were able to use the grill that was provided at the house. The grill area is really neat as well with outdoor furniture so you can hang out while grilling. The kitchen and living room are beautiful, comfortable, and have glass doors that look out over the bay. This area quickly felt like home to us, and we enjoyed spending time in this part of the house. When we wanted to beat the heat we came to this area and closed the windows and turned on the AC. It worked great and cooled off quickly. The TV also worked great, and it was nice to watch a little football in the AC. The room is also great because you can open all the windows, and the fans really make it comfortable when it's not too hot outside. Everything in the house was great. The house was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets and towels were nice and clean. The house was very comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed for cooking dinner. Also there was a coffee maker, and the local coffee I bought was really great. The house is in walking distance to restaurants and several convenient stores. We actually stayed during the slow season so there were several restaurants that were not open, but we never had trouble finding a place to eat. We rented a Jeep for a few days to explore the island. Definitely do this if you can. There are so many awesome secluded beaches to check out! Also it is a short drive to Esperanza, which is a town on the other side of the island. There you will find more restaurants because it is the touristy part of the island. This island is very unique and very beautiful. We recommend checking out Vieques and also staying at Seaside. It was an unforgettable and awesome experience.
