A Perfect Getaway

5 of 5
My husband and I, with my in-laws, rented this bungalow for almost 2 weeks in February / March 2015. I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about our experience - the property, house, location, amenities, property manager, owner, welcome gifts, and more were just perfect! The Gordons have thought of everything that would make your stay at a beach house just perfect - ample pots / pans / utensils, a book of notes and info, plenty of linens, umbrella, beach chairs, coolers, games - you name it! The communication ahead of time, during our stay, and after was prompt and thorough. The property manager - Aurelio - was so kind, helpful, and responsive. The accommodations were incredible comfortable with so many "extras" that were a real treat in an island home. Having been to Vieques before, I knew we wanted to stay on the North edge and in the vicinity of Purple beach - the views and location were perfect. I can't recommend this option highly enough - already trying to think about when I can return!

Relaxing Vieques holiday

4 of 5
Overall, my family and I really enjoyed our time at Casa Perlita. I was surprised, though, at check-in to learn that we only had access to two of the bedrooms, as one of the reasons we selected that cottage was because it was advertised as a three bedroom. The bedroom with the largest bed was locked. My husband, 1-year-old, and I shared a full size bed much to our disappointment. Had we had the queen size bed, our comfort level would have risen exponentially. Another area of concern was the taped up screens on the front door. Though we kept the doors locked at all times, the holes taped up in the screen were disconcerting. Finally, the bedrooms are air conditioned but the living/cooking area is not. It can get pretty steamy in the living area as a result. On the positive side, we loved the location, close proximity to Isabel Segunda and Playa Bastimento were a real treat! Barb was also wonderful to work with. She is an efficient communicator and helped us secure furniture and stroller for our baby. We loved our time on Vieques!
