Relaxing Vieques holiday

4 of 5
Overall, my family and I really enjoyed our time at Casa Perlita. I was surprised, though, at check-in to learn that we only had access to two of the bedrooms, as one of the reasons we selected that cottage was because it was advertised as a three bedroom. The bedroom with the largest bed was locked. My husband, 1-year-old, and I shared a full size bed much to our disappointment. Had we had the queen size bed, our comfort level would have risen exponentially. Another area of concern was the taped up screens on the front door. Though we kept the doors locked at all times, the holes taped up in the screen were disconcerting. Finally, the bedrooms are air conditioned but the living/cooking area is not. It can get pretty steamy in the living area as a result. On the positive side, we loved the location, close proximity to Isabel Segunda and Playa Bastimento were a real treat! Barb was also wonderful to work with. She is an efficient communicator and helped us secure furniture and stroller for our baby. We loved our time on Vieques!

ABSOLUTE PARADISE

5 of 5
My husband and two sons, 17 and 22, stayed at the bungalow and it was perfect. We took long walks on the beach, collected sea glass, swam in the pool, watched the sunset from the beach directly in front of bungalow and had wine hour almost every evening on the deck. One of our favorite things to do was to fire up the grill and slow cook food through the afternoon. We found the fish store in town on the first day and went back often. Grilled lobster tails were delicious. We went to Sun Bay one of our days there, Esparanza on another. Isabella II is a great little town. I do recommend that you rent a vehicle to get around the island. We had a great dinner at the Tin Box and went back to Noches the next night. We enjoyed being there. It was very relaxing. The neighbors and all the locals we met were very friendly. We are trying to figure out when we can return. The owner and property manager were very helpful. The bungalow had everything we needed, including a cooler to take to the beach. Owners and manager has thought of everything. The welcome basket was thoughtful. I cannot say enough about the property, its location and how wonderful our stay was.

Perfect!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed three nights, our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The Co-owners were both very friendly and helpful. The casita is the embodiment of charming from the banana tree and hammock in the garden to the cozy bed. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, relax, and lounge on the beach. We will most definitely stay again.
