Had a Great Time

4 of 5
We stayed at Beachfront Heart Filled Villa for eight nights in August 2014. The house is roughly a square with two levels. We rented the upstairs villa. The owner's parents live on the first level. The back of the house literally backs up to the Atlantic ocean, which is on the other side of a string of small islets. The beach is down the street (10-20 minute walk, you can drive as well). The second floor has two bedrooms; two baths; a great room that includes the kitchen and two dining tables; a laundry room; and the entrance room with a couch, TV, and the wireless router. The full kitchen does not have a dishwasher, but it does have a rather unique drying rack in the cabinet above the sink. We cooked several meals in the evening. While there is no vent hood, you simply open the windows and let the breeze blow through. The master bedroom has a nice big bed and full bathroom. The second bedroom has two bunk beds with twin size mattresses up top and full size mattresses below. The only room with air conditioning is the second bedroom, which is probably typical on the island. Our whole family ended up staying in the air conditioned room because it never got cool enough for a comfortable night's sleep in the master bedroom - even with the ceiling fan and oscillating fan. It would have been nice if both bedrooms had AC units. There is a de-humidifier in the closet of the master bedroom that we didn't try. Vega Baja is centrally located and a good place to stay if you want a single home base for your stay on the island. It is pretty easy to jump on the PR 22 toll road to go east or west. But know that it is 1 to 1.5 hours to get to most attractions, such as the Aricebo Observatory or El Yunque National Forest. All in all, we had a great time. Thank you Pamy!

The Best Vacation House Ever!!

5 of 5
Me and my family stayed for 6 days for our vacation and we only wish we could've stayed longer. The house is amazing! The rooms, the size of the house, not to mention the backyard and pool! The owner of the home was great and very helpful. Nothing but great things and I 100% recommend this house! We're planning on coming back next year. Thank you Jose!

Bargain Beach House

4 of 5
This house on the water was a bargain for the view and location. The owner and his father were very responsive to us and accommodating. We had a problem with the AC freezing up and they came right over to fix it. It was hot outside of the bedrooms, but we knew to expect that from the other reviews. It is very loud on the weekend- earplugs/fan for white noise a must. This house is a great location for all the excursions we went on- whether to San Juan or to the southern coast. We did get to view a concert at the beach from out balcony Monday night which was an added bonus. We never actually went to the "beach"- 5 minute walk- but rather stayed at our area in front on the house. IF you love seaglass like I do- you will be amazed at what you can collect! Every wave brings a few pieces. If we ever go back to Puerto Rico- we will definately stay there!
