Fantastic location

Great open home in the middle if old San Juan. Walking distance to all of the old city. Great food and fun just a short walk any direction.

Great place in a great location

4 of 5
My wife and I have a property on VRBO so we know how important reviews are to both travelers and owners. The booking process was easy. On arrival the key was waiting in a lockbox exactly where Victor told us it would be located. My first impressions of the property were that it was exactly as it was portrayed in the write-up and in the pictures. The unit is on the ground level which is what we wanted as having a balcony with a toddler means I don’t get a vacation. It was plenty roomy for our family of four. The unit was clean with plenty of towels and nice bedding. The bathroom was recently updated and very nice. The shower is large and the water is hot. The beds were comfy. I appreciated the windows that had the option to be completely opened or opened with the louvers for privacy and security. I had no security concerns as the apartment complex is entered through a substantial metal gate and the door to the apartment had a deadbolt. Many of the other residents in the complex had their windows and front doors wide open most of the time! We didn’t use the kitchen beyond storing items in the refrigerator but everything looked fine. Some of the metal appliances had rust on the outside which is what happens in a tropical climate. There is no dishwasher so if you plan on making many meals in the unit be ready to wash by hand. Some of our luggage didn’t arrive for two days which made the washer and dryer invaluable. We only used the A/C at bedtime. It reduced the humidity and cooled the unit down quickly. If I had to find one thing to modify, I would add a floor lamp in the living room or move one from the bedroom into the living room. All in all I would recommend the #250 Calle San Sebastian to anyone and would stay here again.

Fantastic Puerto Rican Getaway

5 of 5
Natalia and her beautiful Casa Castellana have set the bar very high with ambiance and personal care. The best we have ever experienced. Where can you go and feel like part of the family...right here in Puerto Rico. Natalia, her daughter Nina and their Yorkie, Lily made our vacation a very memorable one. They made scheduling our sightseeing adventures a breeze and their recommendations were excellent. The location is perfect. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and nightlife. Old San Juan, and all it has to offer, is just a short cab ride away. Breakfast on the third floor terrace was a real treat. The food was everything we hoped for and more. We had meats, cheeses, breads and fruits (we had never heard of) along with the traditional Puerto Rican breakfast of scrambled eggs and ham. Also freshly squeezed orange juice and ground coffee that was outstanding. If you want to have a fabulous vacation in Puerto Rico, this is the place to stay!!
