Second time, even better

5 of 5
We stayed in this apartment last year. We loved it so much that we brought the whole family for our second visit. Amazingly, our stay was even better. Starting with the easy and trustworthy owner, the very attentive property manager, the nice neighbors and building staff.. Everyone made us feel so special and right at home. This time, we brought my mother in law and her husband and they stayed in another very nice apartment that this owner has in the same building. So, my inlaws were close, but not too close, lol. We stayed for 10 days and did not run out of things to see and do. The owners provided us with a list of recommendations that was even more detailed than before and we tried to do as many of the things that she recommended as we could. We recommend this place very highly to any family or group that wants to have a great time in a safe, clean, comfortable, affordable and totally wonderful place. It is the best.

A beautiful apartment with an unrivalled sea view.

4 of 5
The apartment is clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. More important, it is very secure, the latter an important consideration as the neighbourhood is a little run down and looks seedy. We loved the sea views and enjoy watching surfers braving the cold waters while eating breakfast at the dining table. But we do have to major complaints which I think other guests need to know. First on the list is the mattress. It is worn down and dips into two soft depressions when my husband and I slept on it. It offers no support to the body and for those with back problems, this is really bad news. My husband is such a patient. After one restless night, He could hardly stand up straight the next morning and had to wear his corset for support during the rest of the trip and also slept on the floor rather than on the bed. The second problem was the air conditioning which makes a racket when turned on. It was impossible to sleep with it is running in the bedroom because of the noise. We resolved the problem by running the living room unit and leaving the bedroom door open so that the air circulates through to the bedroom. Not the most ideal solution but it was otherwise impossible to sleep without air conditioning. Even though we had to live with the above problems, we still enjoyed our stay.

"Wonderful Vacation Home!!!”

5 of 5
We arrived on October 25th, Ana was there ready to welcome us. What a lovely home this is!!! The main floor has a beautiful living/dining area, fully equipped kitchen (with entrance to the courtyard), bathroom and media room. On the second level there is a library, two bedrooms and another bathroom with balconies looking over Calle Del Sol Street on one side and private courtyard on the other. Third level has a huge master bedroom with ensuite, a walk in closet with wash machine and dryer (which comes in very handy when traveling with a family) and french doors leading to the third floor terrace with a hammock just waiting for someone to take an afternoon nap. From there you can climb the steps to the rooftop where the cruise ships can be seen on days they are in port, as well as quite a view of the city. We were a family of six with four girls ages 20, 15/15 and 13, this home had plenty of room for everyone. Right in the heart of Old San Juan you are steps away from restaurants and shops. We always felt safe as the people are friendly. If you are planning a trip and want the true experience of Puerto Rico, this is the place! Ana was knowledgeable and gave wonderful advice of best places to eat, beaches and different attractions that we may like. She was bang on every time! For breakfast chocolate pancakes at Casa Cortes Chocobar, dinner at Triana Tapas & Flamenco which featured live music, talented Flamenco dancers and very tasty Paella... or the fabulous Pirilo Pizza Rustica where we were able to order three large, delicious pizzas and drinks with the total tab under $100.00 for a family of six ...all within walking distance of our home away from home, we were never disappointed! My husband rented us a mini van from the airport and Ana gave us the name of a parking structure about a block away. This was perfect as finding an available spot (much less navigating a vehicle on such narrow streets to parallel park) could prove to be difficult. Although we went to three different beaches, our favorite was Luquillo Beach (another of Ana's suggestions). We cannot say enough about our time in PR and look forward to visiting again. Our family may have been the first renters but we believe that there will be many more to come who enjoy this home as much as we did. Thank you Ana!!!
