Paradise in Puerto Rico with Incredible Host!

5 of 5
Wow, what a week on the beach! We had a wonderful time staying at this place. The house was clean and comfortable, and we felt very safe in this neighborhood, especially due to the friendly security guards that did rounds every night. The kitchen was stocked with supplies, and we were able to cook everyday. The location of this home is prime! We were steps from the beach, and getting groceries and dinner at restaurants was only a short 10 minute drive away. The best part of this trip however was the promptness and grace with which Ruben handled our stay. Ruben took care of everything we needed from helping us find our way to the home to making sure there were enough beach chairs for all of us. When there was a small interruption to our power due to neighborhood repairs by the power company, Ruben answered within minutes and called the security guards himself to verify. This home is beautiful, and Ruben is such a professional and wonderful host. Highly recommended. You cannot go wrong with this listing!

Beautiful, relaxing, secluded but close to lots!

5 of 5
This property is clearly the home of an artist who cares about others. The decor is unique, the views are amazing, the food is gourmet and the week was everything we hoped for. Saadia gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat out. We spent one day at El Yunque, which is very nearby. We visited the Luquillo kioskos, also close by, twice. We could have done much more but we were so relaxed there were a couple of days that all we did was move from the beach to the hammock to the 'topless terrace'. i would go back tomorrow if I could.

Family friendly Property

4 of 5
My family- 2 moms, 3 kids, and 1 grandmother spent 6 days at this property. My sister originally picked it on-line for the what it had to offer (5 pools and beach) and because the furniture did not look cheesy. Atmosphere is highly important to her and the unit looks fresh with clean lines and a dash of color. There are a lot of competitors in the same complex. I was pleased with how family friendly the actual unit was once we found it. ( A little hard to find at first so don't miss the sign before you enter the gated community. They will provide you directions but much easier to find in day light first time locating.) The unit was well equipped for kids. It had clean beach towels ready to go; floating devices; sand shovel for the beach, scooters, games, cards, etc.... The pools were LOVED by the kids and they would have been fine never leaving the complex. During the week, the place is really quiet but there are more people on the weekends. ( Still not overly busy- always a lounge chair, more kids, and short line, if any, on water slide. ) The water slide is only open on weekends. But during the week it was possible to get a pool to yourself. Personally I was happy for the hot tub. There was also a couple of play grounds (one right outside our balcony so you could watch older kids from the balcony). The internet was also really powerful- the service is better than I have at home. And there was cable for all the night time cartoons. This place is family friendly! We were able to grocery shop and cook in most nights and breakfast ( house had all needed cooking supplies.). It feels like it is in a remote place and there is not a lot around the complex. Actually it is about a 20 minute drive to stuff, including a full service grocery store, outlet mall (did not go in ), etc.. In Loiza, they do have the artist shop to look at and or buy coconut masks but that is about it. Stop for the cultural piece. However you are about 25 minutes from the rain forest, El Yunque, 25 to Luquillo beach (lots of restaurants at Kiosks) , 30 to old San Juan, 40 to Farjardo (ferries to Visques and Calebra). I would definitely have a car but nothing was an unreasonable drive. We had good day trips and then the kids were able to come back and spend hours at the pool. I would recommend this place for families. (There is no hot nightlife). Do bring or buy mosquito repellant. And bring ear plugs if sensitive to noisy air conditioners.
